Behaviour letter final new draft

Our ref: TS/LB

November 19, 2013 Dear Parent/Guardian As a school, we have recently developed a number of changes to our behaviour policy which we would like to share with you. These changes include strategies which will enable us to sanction and reward our students more effectively. Firstly we have introduced a new behaviour ladder, which sets out clear rules and sanctions to students. This has been developed to help the school deal with low-level inappropriate behaviour and make sure that this behaviour doesn’t deteriorate. So far this system has received very positive feedback from both students and teachers. To run alongside this system, we are improving communication with parents/guardians regarding detentions. From now on you will be informed of any detentions your child has via text message, stating the time and date of the detention. Furthermore, if your child's behaviour has been particularly good, they may receive a 'Praise Postcard' which will be posted to their home address. Due to the changes above, it is imperative that all contact details are kept up-to-date on the school system. Therefore, please inform us of any changes as soon as possible so we can contact you effectively regarding behaviour and other important school matters.

Yours sincerely

Mr A Thomas & Ms L Bancroft
