Welcome to my Country; an Invitation to understand Culture Welcome to My Country is a conceptual design that’s purpose is to educate the public (through interaction of physical forms in space and invite self-education) about Aboriginal culture.
Investigating topography as a tool for design.

The design of the landscape draws attention to the current indigenous community and also educates and invites the general public to engage with cultural, social and environmental conditions in a deeper context.

1:100 scale site model.
Interaction with designed components within the space will allow the public to engage in the culture of the Boonwurrung people. This is limited information about such a complex culture, I understand this and ambition that my design will create a curiosity amongst individuals and entice them to do their own research and educate themselves.

Pro-ject Building positive environments for the discussion of educationally based mental health. A conceptual design proposal (for the 2018 NGV Victorian Design Challenge) recognising issues related to mental health, their severity and reducing the stigma of treatment and those seeking help in Australian universities (a design for Australia’s young people, 12 - 25 years). Pro-ject Process
Pro-ject Feedback Node
The exchange of student experiences and feedback relies on a four step process that reaches out to students as well as ensures submissions are appropriate until they are displayed.
WE WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR STUDYING EXPERIENCE
Pro-ject Nodes provide moveable nodes for students to provide anonymous feedback of their experiences while studying. These responses are collected into a database and displayed to other students at their respective educational institution.
1. University Institution
QUESTIONS
University Institutions are to contact students asking for anonymous experiences of mental health issues and coping methods during both past and present study.
Pro-ject
What hardships did you go through when studying your chosen course? Where there any coping methods that you used to get you through this hardship? Firstname (optional), Age, The course you’re studying?

4. Submissions Display: Projector, Screen
Submissions are displayed on university campus for the student community to view. Reducing stigma, raising awareness and raise the ability to help-seek in e d u c a t i o n a l institutions.
The Pro-ject Nodes provides a means for students to have a break from their studies, release their thoughts and contribute to a community of students with similar mental health issues. The nodes also offer a coupon based insentive to have a break and ventilate any issues that the student might have. The coupons can then be redeamed at campus food courts and local cafes that the educational institutions would sponsor.
