The Memorial Student Center symbolizes Aggie traditions and embodies Texas A&M history and culture. The exciting new design is solidly based on the historic 1951 original MSC and seamlessly blends a substantial expansion with the completely renovated original building.

The project began as a successful Perkins+Will feasibility study + master plan that assessed the existing MSC and its building systems. Programming programming, planning and design concepts were developed and built from consensus amongst a variety of students, former Aggies, faculty, and university administrators.

Increased indoor/outdoor connections, extensive interior day-lighting, and a palette of natural materials enhance the sense of community and level of student activity throughout the MSC.

By embracing TAMU’s Campus Plan the MSC transforms an adjacent street into a highly active pedestrian mall. 55
