What has the band been doing since the recording of EP "The Violence Beneath"?
Well, after we wrote and recorded "The Violence Beneath" we did some short american tours/shows and we came over to Europe for about a month in support. That was all back in 201 0. I have since done an overseas deployment with the army for about a year. Now I've been back for about 3 months and we have already written and recorded some new tracks. One of them will be coming out on "The Falling Down Compilation" out of France and we are still working out exactly what we want to do with the rest. But there will be a new release from us in 201 2 for sure. We are also starting to work out what we are going to do as far as touring in the spring/summer of 201 2. Everyone else has been working on other projects throughout the last year and we are really excited about getting back out there with some new music and playing/touring.
What are your favorite albums at the moment?
That is difficult to answer because we all have really eclectic tastes in music. Don't know if I could put my finger on just one record or artist. I have been trying to catch up with all the new music from the last year that I've been gone. Been listening to the new Torche, Kylessa, Julie Christmas, Them Crooked Vultures, and stuff like that. But there is also the classic standby's like Pink Floyd and Tom Waits. Dave has been more into the metal side of things, Jason gets into Hip-Hop, Kevin loves Classic Metal and Rock, and Evan loves his Jazz. Pretty much anything we can get our hands on.
Would you like to come to Portugal?
Hell Yeah! We were there on the last Euro Tour and it was great. Everyone was so good to us and it was incredibly beautiful. What can we expect from the band in We would come back in a heartbeat if we got 201 2? the chance. I hope to be there in the summer Compilation release, possibly a split vinyl or a of this year. Maybe we can see you all there. limited edition vinyl and definitely some American and European dates. We're also hoping to find the time to start working on a Design & Interview: Rick new full length for release in 201 3. Words by: Steve
If your music were to be adapted into film, what story would it tell?
I'm sure everyone in the band would have a different take on this, but... I think that it would be a film about the extinction of the human race from the point of view of a young couple in love. Full of heartbreak and tough life and death decisions. And it would not have a happy ending.
