The theme was the traditional Portuguese flavour.

OCTOPUS - THE TENTACLES OF SOCIETY
Illustration of an animal (octopus), through the cut-out technique and image collage.
The theme created was the society in which we live.
The tentacles of the octopus (feet and hands) represent professions or famous / powerful people who influence society with their actions, and who in some ways
are “chosen” by us as a role model. The head of the octopus represented by fingers, is all the people who give their opinion and, in a way, “elect” this minority to hold the power.
The eye of Barack Obama represents the eye of Imperialist America that sees everything and knows everything.
