REDEFINED

80 YEARS OF TAILOR HISTORY It has been more than 80 years since Einar Kvamme started his tailor enterprise in 1936, which has since been passed down through 3 generations. When grandson Finn Einar re-established the family enterprise as RICCOVERO in 1986, he took the family trade in a whole new direction. Since opening its first concept store in 1999, RICCOVERO has developed steadily and has since 2002 included a women’s collection. Today the collection com prises of tailored suits and fashionable dresses, as well as casual wear and shoes. A FAIL SAFE WARDROBE Our product philosophy is rooted in classic tailoring, with a strong focus on function and wearability. RICCOVERO is a fail- safe wardrobe solution for the modern urban traveller. Influenced by a worldy aesthetic – clean lines, sharp silhouettes and quality fabrics. Always inspired by trends, but more important always true to quality and comfort in both fabric and production methods, to ensure the true character of our collections. REDEFINED We are proud of our history, but will always ensure that we are relevant, as well as consistent. This fall we redefine. Presenting a clearer and more consistent RICCOVERO. Quality fabrics and fit are the main focus, and our main collection comprises of timeless and refined s uits, blazers, knits and shirts for all occasions. In addition we proudly announce our new line of casual wear – RICCOVERO Daily. The Daily collection presents a core of quite familiar pieces to make it easy for the male consumer to find his favorite items over-and-over again.

This autumn we introduce RICCOVERO Daily – A collection of familiar pieces to make it easy for the male consumer to find his favorite items over-and-over again.

AUTUMN TRENDS 5 MUST HAVES 1. THE ROLL NECK A chic and sophisticated piece, the roll neck is currently having a menswear moment.

2. THE PEACOAT

THE AUTUMN/WINTER SEASON IS ALL ABOUT LAYER ING, AND RICCOVERO OFFERS YOU THE PERFECT ELEMENTS WITH WHICH TO DO THIS. SUBTLE TEXTURES AND SURFACE EFFECTS ARE THE STRONGEST TRENDS – THEREFOR THE KEY TO THE PERFECT OUTFIT IS IN THE MIX. DARK EARTHY TONES OF KHAKI, FOREST GREEN AND CHOCOLATE BROWN ARE COMBINED WITH CLASSIC NAVY, WINTER WHITE AND CHARCOAL TO BRING A MASCULINE EDGE TO YOUR WARDROBE. TAILORING, as always, is the mainstay of the collection. With soft-shoulders, barely-there construction and half-linings we focus on function and wearability, giving ease and comfort to even the most serious office situations. Don’t forget to check out our easy-care shirts, a safe pick for the traveller.

3. THE CASUAL SHIRT This autumn we offer a high range of casual shirts for any occasion. Read all about it on page 13.

4. THE CHINOS They have become the stylish alternative to the classic blue jeans. Read all about them on page 12.

5. THE WORK BOOT Autumn is a chance for your low-cut footwear to rest and recover while you break-out your boot collection.

Add interest to your work outfit by wearing suits with our fine-gauge cotton/cashmere blend knit-wear – Chic, relaxed and a smart way to add a flash of color. Break away from the suit altogether by wearing a blazer with a pair of our signature chinos in a micro-texture stretch cotton. The office never looked so stylish! In a Scandinavian winter you still need to brave the elements – Even if it’s only on the run from the office to car park – Throw over a classic peacoat for the ultimate in urban style. Or try one of our light-weight techno parkas for a more utilitarian and fashion-forward look. Either way, you’ll keep warm and look cool. Surely that’s what winter is all about?

4-5 / AUTUMN / WINTER ’17

The autumn/winter season is all about layering. Dark, earthy tones of khaki, forest green and chocolate brown are combined with classic navy, winter white and c harcoal to bring a masculine edge to your wardrobe.

Smart, rugged and masculine, it’s an item that looks just as good with a sharp suit as it does with jeans and heavy knit – the epitome of versatility.

TRENDING: The Derbie Shoe is a fail-safe pick for the autumn season / Stockholm Shoe 3S30-770

THE IMPORTANCE OF GREAT SHOES THEY CAN MAKE OR BREAK AN OUTFIT – MAKE SURE YOU INVEST IN YOUR FEET. Build your look from the ground up, with our great selection of shoes. You will find the shoes that every man should own in our edited selection. From the classic OXFORD to the casual WORK boot. KRISTOFER HIVJU FULL NAME: KRISTOFER HIVJU AGE: 38 YEARS CIVIL STATUS: MARRIED OCCUPATION: ACTOR, SCRIPTWRITER AND PRODUCER RIGHT NOW: GAME OF THRONES SEASON 7

“ NO MATTER HOW STRICT THE

SUIT IS, MY BEARD ALWAYS MAKES SURE TO BRING SOME EDGE TO IT

The charismatic actor Kristofer Hivju has gained recognition in both Norway and Hollywood. He has become world famous for his role as the “wildling” Tormund Giantsbane in the HBO success – Game of Thrones. With his characteristic beard he is a prominent character that neither stops to impress or surprise us. HOW WAS YOUR SUMMER? GREAT summer! Nothing really beats the Norwegian summer, hiking in the mountains, swimming in ice cold water. For the last part we’re taking the family to China, quite excited about that.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOU STYLE? I am a suit man – I wear a lot of suits, but I always make sure to put my signature on it. I can combine the classic suit with harley-boots or a long scarf. I guess I’m a “freaked out suitman”. Besides, no matter how strict the suit is, my beard always makes sure to bring some edge to it. WHAT’S YOUR WARDROBE “MUST HAVES” FOR FALL? A tailored coat in high quality wool – Preferably from RICCOVERO. 3 PIECES YOU WOULD NEVER TRAVEL WITHOUT? 1. Headphones – With noise-isolation to escape. 2. B lazer – When travelling, I’m helpless without a blazer. You get to travel with style and keep control of all your important belongings at the same time. 3. An object that can entertain me – In other words, something that allows me to watch a movie. DO YOU GET INFLUENCED BY FASHION AND TRENDS? Not at all, I got absolutely no idea what happens on the catwalk, and I don’t really care about it either. I like what I see right here and now, simple philosophy. WHAT INSPIRES YOU? Easy one – Engaged, creative and positive people! Great scripts, high mountains, sensual food and good conversations. YOUR FAVORITE “GET-AWAY”? I like to escape into hard physical activity. I’m also a big fan of dreaming, day or night. Or a place by the ocean.

10-11 / AUTUMN / WINTER ’17

WHAT ARE YOU UP TO THIS FALL? This fall I’ll be working on a project I’ve dreamt of for more than 10 years. Together with my co- creator Kristoffer Metcalfe, I’m wrighting a script and staring as lead actor for a new TV-project called TWIN. And of course, there are some secret projects as well.

THE CHINOS SINCE THEY BECAME POPULAR IN THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY, WHEN US SOLDIERS RETURNED FROM THE PHILIPPINES WEARING THEIR MUSTARD-DYED COTTON TWILL TROUSERS, CHINOS HAVE BECOME THE STYLISH ALTERNATIVE TO THE CLASSIC BLUE JEANS. WASHED, WORN, COMFORTABLE AND COOL, chinos work beautifully dressed up with a blazer and shirt, or more relaxed with knitwear or a polo. At RICCOVERO we offer the classic cotton twill in comfortable stretch fabric for a more modern slim fit look. It also comes in smarter versions, in a variety of textures and handles, all perfect for an urban man’s autumn wardrobe.

TRAVEL

BACK TO BERLIN

28-29 / AUTUMN / WINTER ’17

BERLIN IS AN EXTRAORDINARY CITY WITH A REMARK ABLE HISTORY – THE SCENE OF TURMOIL, CREATIVITY AND A TRUE SENSE OF INDIVIDUALITY – BUT IT CAN BE OVERWHELMING FOR VISITORS, DUE TO ITS SPRAWL ING SIZE AND EVER-CHANGING DYNAMICS. HERE ARE A FEW OF OUR TIPS TO THE BEST THE CITY CAN OFFER:

STAY The cosy Monbijou Hotel is friendly, comfortable and in a great location just round the corner from Hackescher Markt in the bustling Mitte district. After a busy day exploring the local shopping scene, enjoy an evening drink at the rooftop bar with views over the cathedral.

CULTURE For a totally unique art experience, visit the incredible Boros Sammlung. The private collection of cutting edge modern art competes with the stunning architecture of a converted WW2 bunker. The collection can only be viewed on pre-booked tours where small groups are lead by extremely knowledgeable and entertaining guides. An absolute must. HISTORY Get a glimpse of Berlin’s Prussian past by visiting the beautifully renovated Schloss Charlottenburg with its rococo state apartments, beautiful pavilions and very moving mausoleum, all set in a lush green park. It’s the perfect escape from the busy city.

EAT Germanic food is often maligned, but in fact the staple dishes of schnitzels, sausages and sauerkraut can be very good. Live out your Sound of Music fantasies in Alpenstueck, eating Austrian specialities in a chic modern version of an Alpine cabin. And don’t forget the wonderful German wine! SHOP Hidden in a courtyard on an unassuming street, the spectacular and HUGE Andreas Murkudis store typifies Berlin in its eclectic mix of designer labels – from Celine to Dries via Loewe and Aspesi – books, accessories and “objets d’art”. It’s virtually impossible to leave without a bag...

STAY: The cosy Monbijou Hotel is friendly, comfortable and in a great location.
