Commitment to Diversity
Rice’s continued commitment to diversity is reflected in our supplemental questions that encourage students to share how their unique background and lived experiences can cultivate community on Rice’s campus. Student stories are more important than ever and we consider ourselves a partner with you in inspiring and educating students in how to celebrate their distinctive backgrounds throughout the application process.
New Majors
We are in our fourth cycle of admitting students to our undergraduate business major, providing concentrations in finance and management. This is also our second year offering the Operations Research major under the Department of Computational and Applied Mathematics, and the Sports Analytics major under the Department of Sport Management.
Admission Events
We are hosting a number of events for students to learn more about Rice, including student-led tours and our popular, virtual Application Advice Series.
Testing Policy
Students applying to Rice for entry in 2024 will not be required to submit SAT or ACT scores for admission consideration.
The Rice Investment
Rice offers generous need-based aid and merit awards. We’re committed to meeting 100% of demonstrated need for all students. That means if there is a gap between what an admitted student’s family is able to pay and our total cost of attendance, we cover the gap. Full Tuition, Fees, & Living Expenses
