Born Germany; raised deep South. Never prejudiced. Served on USS RALEIGH (navy ship) during Vietnam Era; BA from CSU in GA; MA from U of KY; taught college level St. Catharine College four yrs; professional newspaper writer/photographer; sold dozen freelance articles to national mags; published one real offset commercial book; one real but POD novel; three other books, all on Amazon and in fact in stores around the world; now trying to write new book. I fell 70 ft in cave 1993 & broke my back in two places, now disabled but can walk and talk and generally cut the mustard. Live in semi-dignity with wife. Occasionally must get away and live like hermit in woods, but that's just me. One of many favorite quotes: "I hope it is true that a man can die and yet not only live in others but give them life, and not only life, but that great consciousness of life." — Jack Kerouac
