Adventure, risk, need. Silkroad is the new capsule collection by mรณ, a journey through the Silk Road, through its ocean of scents and colours, textures and flavours, diverse cultures and traditions, a journey to see the world and get to know yourself.
This collection carries us off to magical corners, from Istanbul to the Great Wall of China, an adventure that has brought us to design glasses that bear the essence of the traditions, culture and crafts of each civilisation.
Made with stainless steel, high-quality Acetate and transparent silicone, Silkroad is a collection that pays homage to all the merchants and travellers who, for centuries, shaped one of the most striking routes the world has ever known.
Each piece used to manufacture SILKROAD was designed exclusively for this collection. From the temples to the nosepads, from the flaps to the string built into the temples, these pieces were designed to breathe life into the two models that make up the collection: JAKAR and XIAN.

The main objective of the SILKROAD design process was to give these glasses identifying and differentiating elements in every section of the frames. And so, we have reconceived all the pieces from zero, both aesthetically and functionally.
Silkroad features a basic structure made up of more than twelve stainless steel pieces that are welded together. The structure and construction of the rim is fresh, innovative and different from those of other glasses, as the end piece forms part of the very geometry of the rim.
In this collection, we’ve opted for a nosepad that’s radically different from the standard pieces you find on the market. We have designed a piecewith injected silicone, with a larger support Surface over the nose, providing greater comfort and giving the glasses a different, bolder look that breaks away from everything that came before them.
Using the same technology as the nosepad, we have incorporated side flaps (two on each side), to protect the eye from possible glare in extreme environments like the desert or the high mountains.
Manufactured in acetate, the silkroad temples are shaped to include a permanente leather string, to prevent their loss or misplacement.
