“ I believe in you, the person you will grow to be and the couple we will be together. With my whole heart, I take you as my wife, acknowledging and accepting your strengths and faults, as you do mine. I promise to be supportive and to always make your love and happiness my priority. I will be yours in plenty and want, in sickness and in health, in triumph and in failure. I will dream with you, celebrate with you and walk beside you through whatever our lives may bring. You are my person - my love and my life, today and always.

“ I take you as you are, loving who you are today, and who you are yet to become. I promise to laugh with you in moments of joy and comfort you in times of sorrow. I will share in your dreams and aspirations, and support you as you strive to achieve your goals. I vow to encourage you, trust you and respect you. Together, let us build a home full of laughter, compassion, patience and love. Wherever we may be, as long as we’re together.

These are the hands of your best friend, strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, and from this day forward. These are the hands that will work alongside yours as together you build your future. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you throughout the years, and with the slightest touch will comfort you like no other. These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief temporarily comes to you. These are the hands that will countless time wipe the tears from your eyes, be they tears or sorrow or tears of joy. These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children, the hands that will join your family as one. These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it, support and encouragement to pursue your dreams. And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

Things to remember... The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Gunners Barracks in Mosman. It was a Sunday and the ceremony was at 5pm. Pre-wedding photos were taken at Bradleys Head. The celebrant was Heather Martin. The cake was orange with fig from Black Star Pastry in Newtown. It was awesome. Natalie wore a Martina Liana gown and Richard’s suit was from T M Lewin. Natalie walked down the aisle to Hans Zimmer Maestro. The registry was signed whilst Tim McMorris Overwhelmed played. The first “dance” was to Home by Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros. At the end, a Mercedes convertible took us to the Hilton.
