Richard Watson

Director-Writer-Filmmaker I've always been a creative person, and the hardest challenge I've found was on how to express them. So I took up drama and music for my GCSEs before pursuing drama in greater detail at college. During those years, I was able to gain an insight on how everything behind the scenes works. The ideas I have also expanded creatively during my time at college. And then in early 2009, I went out with my friends to watch The Wrestler at our local cinema and that's when it hit me; no other medium before had related to me in more ways than Darren Aronofsky's 2008 film. Like Stagecoach to Orson Welles, The Wrestler is the film that made me want to become a filmmaker. Since college, I've enrolled in Brunel University currently doing a degree in film. I have also taken part in projects outside of class, building up my portfolio.
