Interpretation Hall & Museum On the ground floor, Workshops and Audio-Visual Room captures the philosophy behind religions. The interpretation of those teachings are done not just in words or displays but also in the way the building unfolds itself to the visitor. This museum + interpretation hall has ramps for barrier free movement. The space is like a sequence of stories. The movement is fluid and uninterrupted, bringing a sense of freedom, space, control and safety.

PASSIVE TECHNIQUES USED FOR TEMP REGULATION (Tombre Wall)
STEEL SECTION REPLACES TIMBER BEAM MARKET AVAILABILITY + DEMAND plays a pronounced role. Awareness among people as to how their demand and choices influence the market trends is vital. Rural areas tend to follow urban trends, giving up sustainable and vernacular ways because of unawareness. This disrupts the ecological balance.
COMPOSITE ARCHITECTURE helps address the cause of sustainability while reducing the consequences. Adding small % cement, we manufacture mud blocks (CSEB) with increased strength comparable to that of concrete blocks. Use of technologiy (3D printing + parametrics), brings the realisation that Mud is a flexible material to work with.

An attempt to cater to interconnected aspects.
Social aspect Export of Indian goods declined after Independence, it led to a consequent loss of traditional craft as artisans looked for other means of livelihood.
Geographical aspect Settlement of people along Damdama Lake had led to increased water consumption. The household and agricultural needs resulted in a dried lakebed.
Environmental aspects Limiting use of concrete and promoting construction using mud. Use of green wall with thorny plants on top for boundary and native trees. Lake revival by use of biointensive beds, fish to reduce algae, to restore water level and achieve ecological balance. Day time visitors + artists + resort visitors make up the users
