The Smurfette originally appeared in “La Schtroumpfette,” the third Schtroumpfs graphic album, published in 1967, by Yvan Delporte and Peyo. Schtroupfs is, of course, what the Smurfs were originally called in Belgium and France.

[1] Gargamel, the evil wizard who strongly dislikes the Smurfs, first wore his fairy Aurora outfit in “The Smurfony,” featured in THE SMURFS #4 “The Smurf King” and THE SMURFS ANTHOLOGY Vol. 1. Gargamel first appeared in “The Smurfnapper,” featured in THE SMURFS #9 “Gargamel and the Smurfs” and THE SMURFS ANTHOLOGY Vol. 1.
