NAME OF BUSINESS: Wallace, Cooper & Elliott Insurance Agency Year established: 1947 Tell us a little about your business: What do you do? We are celebrating our 70th year in business. We are an independent insurance agency offering many different insurance companies to meet all your insurance needs. How many “neighbors” do you employ? We currently employ 9. Recognizing you can do business anywhere…why are you here? Almost every one of our employees were born and raised in Richland County. This is home! What’s the one thing you wish everyone knew about your business? How much we deeply care about our customers. The trust “The team at Wallace Cooper & Elliott” they place in us is a responsibility we don’t take lightly. Our job is not 9 to 5. Our job is to be there for you when you need us the most. What makes your business unique? Our staff makes the difference! Because this is “their” community, they go out of their way in any way they can to help. We are completely locally owned and operated and we work as a team. We were recently selected as Richland Rejuvenates 2017 Business of the Year and we are recognized by the BBB with an A+ rating. Other than providing jobs and paying taxes what are some other ways you give back to the community? We take great pride in giving back to our community especially when it involves kids. Because of our customers we are able to give back to these special events and causes: Polar Bear Plunge, Southwest Technical College Scholarship, Kiwanis Coats for Kids, RC Military, Richland Center Fire Dept., St. Francis Xavier School, Schmitt Woodland Hills, Impress to Progress, Richland Hospital Foundation, St. Mary’s Church, Second Harvest Food Pantry, Richland Center High School Scholarship, Ithaca High School Scholarship, Holmen High School Scholarship, Riverdale High School Scholarship, GRACE, Richland County Dairy Breakfast, Southwest Partners, Viola Horse and Colt Show, AD German Warehouse, Richland County Fair, Holmen DECA, Friends of the Library, Pine Valley Foundation, Vernon County 4-H, RC Wine Walk, UW Richland, Guinness World Record/Richland Rejuvenates, Rotary Foundation, Elliott’s Test Kitchen, Muscoda Lions, Richland Center Lions, Ocooch Mountain Humane Society, RC Athletic Booster Club, Working With Neighbors, etc.. Get involved whether it be donating your time, your talent, or financially supporting projects in our community. No matter what the type of business it is, please consider supporting and buying local as it in turn helps us give back to the community in so many ways through jobs, donations, charities, benefits, and local events. Never stop believing what we can accomplish together. We can make a difference! Address: 197 S. Genevieve was born in Winchester, WI on January 6, 1921 to Weggo and Edna (Maurer) Hansen. On December 11, 1943 she married Eldon C. Netz. After World War II they farmed together near Blue River, WI. Genevieve continued to work as a home health nurse for 15 more years. Her greatest joys in life were sharing times dancing with her husband to big band era music, traveling, fishing (being known to catch “the big ones”), camping, and playing cards and cribbage with family and friends. She relaxed while tending her garden and flowers; always willing to share abundance with others. Quilting and stained glass projects always kept her hands busy. She was very proud of all her family and
