For many years his own farm he had He started out young, he was just a lad. A good herd of Holsteins, on his list they were tops; He worked up the land and put in the crops. His wife right beside him all the way, And their four children, they helped pave the way. Then one evening as he sat by the fire, He got to thinking...it’s time to retire. But he soon realized that wasn’t to be, He’d have to think of something to keep him busy. So with chainsaw in hand to the woods he went, He knew right away it was time well spent. He liked that, he thought that was what he’d do, But a good saw he’d need to carry it through. So he read and asked questions until he felt “wiser”, And he soon ordered a new woodmizer.
It’s been several years, with many thousands of feet, He’s cut with his mill, and it just can’t be beat. The logs come in and the lumber goes out, He enjoys what he does and that’s what it’s all about! Love from your family! adno=568276-01

DONNA JEAN DAHL
December 27, 2017 Donna Jean Dahl, 72, of Richland Center, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Dycora Transitional Health in Muscoda. She was born on October 19, 1945, the daughter of George and Arlene (Linville) Rattray. On April 26, 1980, Donna was united in marriage to Loyd Dahl. Donna enjoyed camping, bike rides and spending time with family. Donna is survived by four children: Bradley (Lynette) Johnson of Greenfield, IN, Brian (DeAnna) Johnson of Franklin, IN, Brenda Johnson of Beloit, WI, Nancy (Nick) Brewer of Muscoda, WI; grandchildren: Jenna Hill, Emily Johnson, Adam Johnson, Connor Johnson, Christina Roman, Denzel Johnson, Keagan Sanders, Lakota Brewer, Lakyn Brewer; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 step-children; 10 step-grandchildren; 9 stepgrandchildren; other relatives and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughters Sahayla Johnson and Lily Brewer. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in the Sylvan Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. April 7, 2018 Delane Marie (Ewing) Braithwaite, 83, of Richland Center, died Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Agnesian Healthcare Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born on August 27, 1934, in Marshall Township, the daughter of Guy and Vera (Repsummer) Ewing. Delane was raised by her mother and her step father Keith Moran. She graduated from Richland Center High School in 1953. On December 9, 1958, Delane married Wayne Braithwaite, her husband of 56 years, in Norfolk, Virginia, while Wayne was serving in the US Navy. Together they moved back to Richland Center, where they raised their family and later she worked at Allen Bradley until her retirement. They enjoyed traveling, especially with her niece Judy and Kenny DeVoe. Delane loved the time she could spend with her granddaughters. Delane is survived by her three sons: Brian (Lisa) Braithwaite of Fond du Lac, Steve (Michelle) Braithwaite of Madison, Mark (Keri) Braithwaite of Madison; 3 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Morgan, Ann; brother Verlin (Ann) Ewing of Janesville; numerous nieces; nephews; and her Grand dogs Scooby, Daphne and Deeks. Delane was preceded in death by her parents, step father, husband Wayne, sisters Eva, Jean, Mert, step brothers Kenneth and Keith. The family would like to thank everyone at the Richland Center Hospital in Richland Center, St. Mary’s
Hospital in Madison, Manor Care in Fond du Lac, and Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac for their compassionate care for Delane. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with burial having followed in the Fancy Creek Cemetery. Visitation was held on Friday, April 13, 2018, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, April 14, 2018, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. ALMA E. (HUTH) JURGENSEN
April 7, 201 Alma E. (Huth) Jurgensen, 79, of Richland Center, WI, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Pine Valley Community Village, after a battle with cancer, with her children at her side. She was born September 30, 1938, the daughter of Norma (Soltwedel) and Emil Huth in Dayton Township. Alma attended grade school at the Huth School and graduated from the Richland Center High School in 1956. In 1958 Alma married Charles Jurgensen. She was the proud mother of Tom, Judy, and Jane,
and worked at the Richland School District for over twenty years. After retiring she became a hospice volunteer with Upland Hills Hospice and worked at Lands’ End. Alma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, hiking, traveling, and helping others. Alma is survived by her children: Thomas (Kathy) Jurgensen, Judy (Peter) Janetski, Jane (Scott Vetter) Jurgensen; grandsons: Dustin (Samantha) Jurgensen, Cody Jurgensen, Jacob Janetski, Matthew Janetski; one greatgranddaughter Addyson; siblings: John (Betty) Huth, Carl (Susan) Huth, Mary (John) Honer, Rosie (Ron) Steinmetz; brother-in-law Bob Jurgensen; sister-in-law Betty Bayne; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, brotherin-law Gene, and sister-inlaw Lucille. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Richland Center at 1:00 PM. Burial followed in the Dayton Corners Cemetery. Friends could call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel Wednesday, April 11, 2018, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and again on Thursday April 12, 2018, at Saint John’s Lutheran Church from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. April 11, 2018 Kashmir Anttonette-Rayne Kisting, 20 months old, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 2:38 PM in her mother’s arms after a long, courageous battle with Neuroblastoma (Childhood Cancer), surrounded by family and friends. She was born August 3, 2016, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Kristina M Kisting and John L Marshall II. Kashmir loved being with family. Her beloved dog Rebel. Her favorite things to do were: dancing to nursery rhymes; cuddling with mommy and grandma; telling her nurses “A-bye..” and waving; laughing and giggling; watching football with grandpa; video chatting with friends; being outside and playing with her little friends. Kashmir is further survived by her mother Kristina M Kisting; step-parent Amanda (Alex) Mumma; her father John L Marshall II; a fur sibling, Rebel; maternal grandparents Lorie A Parsons and Ronald D Kisting Jr; maternal greatgrandparents Nancy Kisting; paternal grandparents Amy Harris, many other cousins, aunts and uncles. A visitation was held on Monday, April 16, 2018, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM until the time of services at 6:00 PM, with luncheon following at the Pratt Community Hall.
