Thanks to advice he received in college, Jared Hirschl aims to style himself in a way that makes him memorable for being professional. The Arizona native works at Resolute Commercial Services in the restructuring, business valuations, and forensic accounting sectors and spends most days in a blue suit with a white button-down shirt, a brown belt and nice shoes. Besides his trusted signature look, he favors gingham print shirts and a reliable watch. “A good watch can elevate almost any outfit. I love my apple watch, but sometimes a classic mechanical will get the job done,” he says. Not one to jump on a bandwagon trend, Hirschl opts to invest in quality pieces. “Purchasing a pair of dress shoes that will last me 10 to 20 years with care beats buying something new every year,” he says. Since his career involves meeting with clients and their lawyers in person, Hirschl makes sure his professional appearance reflects not only his work product, but also his style preferences. However, don’t expect to see him in muted styles forever as he has his eyes set on flashier looks ahead. “As I get older, I hope to one day have Jeff Goldblum’s fashion confidence,” he says.
What are your favorite brands? My go-to dress shirt is from Kamakura out of Japan. They are high quality and the sizing works for a shorter guy like myself. Give me an unlimited budget and my closet would be nothing but Etons, but I think my kids’ college funds would have something to say about it.
What is your favorite store? In person, you’ll find me at The Clotherie. The whole team is stellar and knows what to recommend for any budget. Online, I’m partial to Kamakura, they haven’t done me wrong yet. My oldest son (11 years old) keeps me informed on what’s trendy.
What is your most prized possession in your closet? My favorite watch, a Girard Perregaux worn by my late grandfather.
