One of the most successful racing cars of all time, the original Bugatti Type 35 was brought to fame in the 1920s and won 2,000 races during its career. In 1926, as a birthday present for his son, Ettore Bugatti built a half-scale Type 35, which eventually became an official Bugatti vehicle called The Bugatti Baby and went into production from 1927 to 1936 with only 500 made. To celebrate Bugatti’s 110th anniversary, The Little Car Company introduced the Baby II, a contemporary tribute to the small original, with just 500 cars available. The Baby II is a three-quarters-size replica of the Bugatti Type 35, so it can be driven by adults, and was created using the latest technology. Additional highlights include a plaque displaying its unique chassis number, Bugatti’s signature turned aluminum dashboard and a scale recreation of the Type 35’s distinctive four-spoke steering wheel. $36,500 at www.bugattibaby.com.
