Wayne Goshkarian, president of Dylan Consulting, LLC, sports a classy, refined and confident style. With a clean and comfortable fashion sense inspired by no one but himself, Goshkarian prefers to create his own looks rather than follow in the footsteps of others. “I enjoy planning outfits that coordinate with my significant other. I ask my girlfriend what we are going to wear so we complement one another,” he says. During the height of the pandemic, Goshkarian spent most of his time in his favorite athleisure brand, Lululemon. Now, much of his workday is spent in his office at the Scottsdale Airport – a location that’s convenient as Goshkarian has had his pilot’s license for a few decades – where the dress code is very low-key. “When I travel, I like Vineyard Vines. When I am out, I wear Brunello Cucinelli from Neiman Marcus,” he says. With in-person events starting to take place once again, Goshkarian looks forward to dusting off his black-tie looks to attend nonprofit events but remains loyal to his love of activewear. “My must-have item is quality sportswear because it’s simple, easy and conformable,” he says.
What is your most prized possession? I love aviation and my most prized possessions reflect that including a chronograph watch, also known as a pilot’s watch, that my dad gave me when I was 18. These watches feature a stopwatch that pilots used for precise timing and to make quick calculations.
What are your favorite colors and patterns? I’ll wear a variety of styles like stripes or plaid and alternate to bold solid colors for a classic look.
How does your career influence your style? I fly all over the U.S. to meet with clients, so I dress for the occasion. If I have a meeting in Boise, Idaho, I’ll wear jeans to be more causal. When I’m in New York City, I’ll change into my suit to coordinate with my client’s higher-end style.
