MAIN CHARACTERISTICS The RICO shears are machines of vertical cut (the blade beam is supported by bearings) allowing different angle depending on the thickness of the plate, situation that can’t be possible in swing beam cutting machines, where the angle is steady. This solution is most effective to reduce the “twist plate” in more demanding services as it allows the machine a longer life with low maintenance, either in the slip of the blade beam, or the movement of the back gauge through hardened ball screws with high-quality.
STRUCTURE The structure of the shear HGR is designed to ensure the best balance and less deformation during cutting. It is a single unit construction welded and reinforced sheet-quality and certified, properly sized.
OPERATION The blade beam is supported on bearings over the whole length. These are adjustable in each point, which would guarantee a complete accomplishment. The cylinders are installed in the structure in single unit working vertically. Once the blade beam is supported by bearing in the entire length, the friction is zero and the deformation of machine is controlled.
BACK GAUGE The back gauge is equipped with hardened ball screws of high quality, thereby ensuring high accuracy, speed and durability. Incorporated with the RAE system, allows retracting automatically during the cut.
TABLE The handling of the plate to be cut is a factor that we consider very important in a shear. For this, we constructed a large table, equipped with transfer balls, of high quality, in all length of the machine. In addition, it is equipped with a square support with a millimetre scale and support plate adaptable to various points in the table. The blades protection ensures a safety work and is fitted with polycarbonate windows with cutting line properly illuminated in order to maintain good visibility.

RAE SYSTEM (standard) As it is usual in the shear cutting, during the movement, the plate is pressed against the back gauge. This strength may cause deformations either on the plate or in the back gauge (for large strength). With RAE system, the back gauge automatically pulls away during the cut not being subject to the plate charge.

PRECISION IDEAS
MAC1 PNEUMATIC SHEET SUPPORT TABLE (OPTIONAL) Mac1 system is used to support thin plate, ensuring the linearity of the plate and the right measure to cut. The operation is done by two synchronized pneumatic cylinders with the movement of the blade beam.
MAC2 PNEUMATIC SHEET SUPPORT TABLE (OPTIONAL) Mac2 system is an evolution of Mac1. The support is guaranteed by multiple cylinders equipped on guiding and ball recirculation installed on the back gauge.
FSE FRONTAL PLATE EXTRACTION SYSTEM (OPTIONAL) The FSE system allows cutting small sheet dimensions with the extraction from the front of the machine. The cut sheets are stored in a drawer equipped with pulleys to allow easy opening. Note: In case of application of support system plate, one must consider the Mac2. Length max.: 550mm / Width max.: 450mm

The HGR Matic model is the evolved version of the HGR shear. This is a CNC machine with fully automatic setting. The cutting angle is progressive, so the numerical control calculates the exact angle having in mind the kind of material and thickness of the plate.
