SCOT T WINTERSPORTS 6

Like the modest champion sitting in the corner listening as others spit their egos all over each other, SCOTT quietly lets its achievements, its victories, its skills speak for themselves. We don’t make products for those who yearn to be noticed. We make them for those who are going to do what they do best whether there’s anyone watching or not. If you’re like us, you say whatever you feel like saying, keep doing what you do best and ski wherever you want to ski because you love it. You do it the right way. You do it for the right reasons.

60 YEARS OF WINTERSPORT 1958 POLES

THE SKI POLE RE VOLUTION It all started with one man’s vision of a better ski pole. Ed Scott’s invention of the first tapered aluminum ski pole immediately replaced the sport’s existing use of bamboo and steel, catapulting SCOTT Sports to a product leader in the skiing market.

1971 BOOTS LIG HT WE IG HT E VOLUTION In 1971, Scott designed and built the world’s lightest ski boot. The mission was to produce a boot that was lighter, stiffer, yet more comfortable than any boot on the market to date. It was a maximum R&D effort to create a ski boot that surpassed athletes’ expectations.

TODAY

The desire to seek out freedom on a pair of skis, and know that once you reach the peak of your adventure you will have the precision, confidence, and performance on your feet to descend the line you have been looking up at all day. SCOTT’s Ski Boot Team is proud to introduce the revolutionary S1 Ski Boot.

1970 GOGGLES

1997 SKIS

A NE W VISION SCOTT Sports enters the wintersport / motocross goggle market. “When SCOTT introduced the ski goggle, they were one of only two goggles that had a thermal lens and vent foam, which made them far superior to all others” Charley French.

SKIS ARRIVE SCOTT Sports launched ski production shortly before the Millenium.

2004 HELMETS SCOT T WINS EUROPE AN SKI AWARD Winning the European ski award with an outstanding helmet was the first big step in SCOTT Sports’ dedication to providing the safest, most advanced line of protection possible.

TODAY Flash Forward, and SCOTT has continued to raise the bar for what helmet safety can be with the inclusion of the MIPS brain protection system and other materials, such as D30 impact protection, making our helmets safer than ever before.

INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY, DESIGN Since 1958, SCOTT Sports has pushed the limits of innovation, technology and design. From the first aluminum ski pole, to the introduction of aero bars and the original plastic moto cross boot, we have led the way in the sports industry. Combining endless determination to improve with the methodical intricacy put into each product, SCOTT prepares athletes to reach their highest potentials. When you push yourself to the limit, SCOTT will stand by you and help you surpass what even you believed was impossible. Let our passion become your passion and your success stories become our success stories.

1997 CLOTHING WINTE R APPARE L SCOTT Sports introduces a technical wintersport apparel line.

2014 BAGS PIONE E RS WITH THE LIG HT WE IG HT ALPRIDE AIRBAG TECHNOLOGY. By exclusively introducing Alpride Airbag technology, SCOTT offers one of the lightest inflator systems on the market, made with premium CNC’d Aluminum and weighing in at only 1240g.

JÉRÉMIE HEITZ: In his search to become a better freerider, Scott athlete, Jérémie Heitz compiles a list of the most challenging and iconic peaks in the Alps to ski. In the process he meets legends of the sport who first skied these big lines and learns from their experiences. ‘La Liste’ not only charts the progression of Freeriding from its humble beginnings but shows how todays legends are pushing the sport to a whole new level. For such a daunting project Jeremie needed a ski that was both light and extremely stable, that’s why he trust the SCRAPPER 115.

DANE TUDOR: The addition of a 105mm Punisher will create more diversity within the line and will be a great everydayski for the average consumer, I believe that the super wide 120mm and larger waisted ski is fading out of the consumer market because it’s too specific to deep backcountry powder conditions, and at that point it is usually too heavy for ski touring. Most consumers I talk with are in the market for a 110-115 all round powder ski that does it all, the quiver killer so to speak.

MIPS® TECHNOLOGY

360° PURE SOUND TECHNOLOGY

THE SAFEST HELMET WE’VE EVER CREATED

Innovative impact protection material to protect you from repeated low and midspeed impacts.

A revolutionary technology that lets the helmet slide relative to the head, adding more protection against rotational violence to the brain caused by angled impacts.

Years of research have led to the introduction of this leap in helmet safety. A specificallyshaped inner piece in our ear pads, surrounded by sound transparent fabric, not only lets you hear better, but also localize sound more accurately.

Featuring three innovative safety technologies, the Symbol 2 Plus D represents a leap in helmet development. This is flat-out the safest - and most ventilated - helmet we’ve ever created.

SCOTT FREERIDE MISSION 42

SNOWMADS WITH FABI LENTSCH In 2016 SCOTT Freeride athlete Fabian Lentsch went on an adventure of a lifetime. Fabi and his crew put their blood, sweat and tears into re-building an old fire truck, which was their home for four months along the way. From the beginning of January 2016 they were traveling through the Balkan countries, stopping off in Turkey, Iran, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia, in search of unchartered terrain, the highest and steepest peaks and undiscovered lines. The Vertic Line is Fabi’s first choice for all of his freeride projects.
