LENS MATERIALS SCOTT Glass Lenses Scott utilizes the finest Italian glass and adheres to the most stringent manufacturing and testing practices to deliver the finest glass lenses on the market. All Scott glass lenses are produced exclusively for Scott frames through an intensive automated process that guarantees optically correct lenses. ABOUT ThE ARTIST: Los Angeles native Mike Stilkey has always been attracted to painting and drawing not only on vintage paper, record covers and book pages, but on books themselves. Using a mix of ink, colored pencil, paint and lacquer, Stilkey depicts a melancholic and at times whimsical cast of characters inhabiting ambiguous spaces and narratives of fantasy, wit and mystery. Stilkey’s work has appeared in numerous group shows in Los Angeles, including BLK/MRKt Gallery, Curio 69 Gallery, Artpiece Gallery and Gallery 1988. this goggle design is a culmination of some of Stilkey’s latest work. the SCott Design team worked closely with Stilkey to create a composition that showcases his unique style. this Limited Edition piece is of SCott’s highest caliber and is packaged and presented accordingly.

SCOTT Polarized Lenses Scott Polarized lenses are designed to diminish dazzling reflections caused by reflected light off of flat surfaces such as snow and water. By separating useful light from white light, Scott polarized lenses cancel out all dazzling light. This polarization process eliminates light that distorts color, but guarantees a depth perception and improves vision. SCOTT OptiView Lenses All lenses were not created equal. SCOTT OptiView lenses are comfortable, lightweight, resistant to impact and offer 100% UV protection. Easy Change Lens System Gone are the days of fighting to change your lenses, Scott’s new Easy Change Lens System makes lens changing easy. Simply push the grey button located on the inside of the frame above the nose piece and gently remove the lens or lenses. Place the new lens in, press the button back into place and you’re good to go. It’s that easy.

Swaged Shafts Scott aluminum ski pole shafts are engineered with an exclusive “swage”, giving the pole a dual-taper design. Swaging is a process that utilizes a series of dies to reduce the outside diameter (creating the taper) and increase the wall thickness (adding strength). the taper results in an improved aerodynamic profile, lighter swing weight, and increased strength.
enGIneeReD shAFt MAteRIALs Carbon Fiber Carbon fiber, with its minimal weight and significant strength, is an ideal material for ski pole shafts. Carbon fiber reduces vibration and absorbs shock while improving feel and swing weight.
Carbon Matrix Carbon matrix ski poles maintain all the positive attributes of carbon fiber while integrating fiberglass to create a carbon matrix that is both lightweight and strong.
the Scott EC1 grip system perfectly integrates the grip and strap to provide an ergonomically correct fit for both left and right hands. A combination of injected plastics and minimal strap interference make this grip extremely comfortable and easy to grab.
Notch Strike Grip the Notch Strike Grip has been anatomically engineered using soft thermoplastic rubber and polypropylene. the lightweight, streamlined profile facilitates the wrist articulation necessary for a textbook downhill tuck or grab.
R-2 Grip the R-2 Grip is engineered to give the skier maximum comfort and complete contact with the grip surface. the ergonomically correct grip is manufactured with soft thermoplastic rubber.
tech-Light Grip System the tech-Light Grip System features an ergonomically engineered soft EVA foam tube grip creating an extended grip surface. the tech-Light Grips System is found on the X-plor 3-part adjustable touring poles.
p-Core Grip the p-Core Grip features soft thermoplastic rubber that is injection-molded over a polypropylene core. Soft thermoplastic rubber demands significantly less strength to grip the pole.
S4 Aluminum Constructed with the strongest commercially available, aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, S4 Aluminum poles are twice as strong as the industry standard, rated to 75,000 pSI.
S3 Aluminum S3 Aluminum shafts are computer engineered and manufactured with highgrade aluminum that is rated to 65,000 pSI.

SKIS - TECHNOLOGY/OVERVIEW
SSCL combines a laminate top and bottom sheet with classic Sandwich Sidewall Construction construction. SSCL skis are slightly more forgiving than SSC skis and remain equally responsive. SSCL ski have a specific braiding and laminate combination to guarantee the best possible construction for their intended use.

Scott skis come direct from the factory ready to ski with Scott’s factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.

Pre-Track
SSCL Carbon skis incorporate carbon into the SSCL construction process. Carbon is extremely lightweight and snappy and ideally suited for ski touring.

SSC Titanal (SSCT) SSCT combines a titanal top and bottom sheet with classic SSC construction. Titanal is an ultralight, extremely robust and torsionally rigid aluminum alloy. SSCT skis are stronger and snappier than traditional SSC skis.

Traditional skis have a fixed radius that determines the length of every turn. Scott skis combine two radii (dual radius) to create the sidecut or “shape” of the ski. By incorporating he Dual Radius concept, the ski can turn when you want it to turn, the result is a more versatile ski which is not confined to one type of skiing or terrain.
In developing Pre-Track, Scott designed skis with wide tips and/or slightly turned up tails. This allows for a variable effective edge depending on terrain. With Pre-Track, Scott skis employ a smaller effective edge for short radius turns on groomed slopes and a longer effective edge when making bigger turns or skiing off-piste. The result is a more precise, stable, reliable and versatile ski.
Pro-Tip By incorporating a progressive tip height radius, Scott skis simply track better than the competition. Scott’s Pro-Tip produces a more consistent ski flex and predictable turns. Pro-Tip is available in three heights 300mm (Precision On-Piste), 350mm (All-Mountain) and 375mm (Full Freeride).
3D Carbon Frame This innovative carbon laminate ski construction creates an exceptionally lightweight touring ski while dramatically increasing torsional rigidity and dynamic performance on steeps.
3D Sidecut This revolutionary new geometry combines 2 radii with a central flat line. This allows for Twin Rocker skis to drive off piste while still maintaining substantial edge hold on-piste.
Twin Rocker Twin rocker places rocker on both the tip and tail of twin tip skis to allow for maximum float in fresh snow and destruction of variable snow.
VTT Tip and Tail Concept The VTT Tip and Tail concept is found exclusively on Scott skis. The concept is simple, increase airflow from the tip of the ski to the tail and allow the ski to track with less pressure. By alleviating pressure from the snow, the ski tracks remarkably better in all conditions while dominating in powder, crud and all variable snow conditions.
Women’s Specific Construction All Women’s skis feature women’s specific construction. Scott women’s skis are designed to be light and lively while meeting the levels of performance that true women skiers demand.
