DUCATI DEMO DAYS
The Ducati Roadshow will again be calling at Riders this spring. The demonstrator fleet showcases the 2015 range. Accompanied test rides will last up to one and half hours taking in a variety of roads and conditions to fully assess the bikes capabilities. Pillion riders may also join in the test rides for the chance to appraise the ergonomics of these machines. The road show will be calling at Bristol on 21st March, Bridgwater on 23rd May and Cardiff (Abergavenny) on 13th & 14th June 2015.
LLANDOW TRACK DAY
Another exclusive riders track day has been arranged for Friday 29th May at Llandow Circuit which is situated just 20 miles to the west of Cardiff close to Llantwit Major. We have exclusive use of the track on the day so a maximum of 16 bikes will be on the track at any one time. We can promise an action packed day between 9am and 4pm.
DARK CUSTOM™ SHOW In January 29 Harley-Davidson® authorised dealers used a wealth of customisation talent and the vast resources of Harley-Davidson® Parts & Accessories to customise a standard Sportster® Forty-Eight®.
The reason behind all the sweat and thinking that went into creating 29 individually crafted machines is simple: which dealership would win the coveted title of ‘Kings of Custom’?
On the 21st March in our Bridgwater store and the 28th March in our Bristol Store we will be celebrating all things ‘dark’ and holding a special Dark Custom Ride In
Show. On the day we will be showing off the Bridgwater Bomber and Bristol’s Black to the Future plus bring your own Dark Custom and enter our bike show. There will be two winners chosen on the day with visitors voting for their favourite, one a Harley® and one non Harley®. Each dealer Harley® winner will be entered into a national competition with the winner of the national heat receiving £2500 Parts and Accessories vouchers plus their bike will be displayed at the NEC Show in the Autumn. ITALIAN BIKE SHOW The BIAMF has run successfully for the past 12 years without a break and it has been a great success, enjoyed by thousands of car, bike and scooter enthusiasts. However this year the future of the festival is looking a little shaky with the current ‘head honcho of organisation’ standing down and a replacement yet to be found. The provisional date for this year’s festival is the 25th April, we hope everthing will be ironed out and the event go ahead as normal.

BMW Motorrad’s hugely popular Enduro helmet has been superseded by the all-new GS helmet. The GS helmet is lighter, stronger and more comfortable - offering riders the perfect adventure-ready helmet for on- and off-road riding.
The GS helmet shell is constructed from 100% carbonfibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP). This provides excellent impact absorption and keeps weight down to approximately 1,450g.
The shock-absorbing inner shell is comprised of five sections of varying density for optimal safety. The characteristic BMW integrated neck bands complete the safety concept, keeping the helmet firmly in place and
optimally positioned on the head if the worst should come to the worst – a feature offered by very few helmets anywhere in the world.
For maximum air flow when riding off-road, the chin-vent flap is removable. The integrated screen then provides protection against foreign objects and acts as a dust filter. The aerodynamically optimised, wind tunnel-honed peak is removable, too, while the head and chin pads are removable and washable. The RidersMotorcycles.com BMW rider fought back during the season to secure his best qualifying position of the year at Assen with a ninth place, scoring points in the second race at the Dutch circuit.
Welcome to Emma Lou who joined Riders of Bristol in February replacing Holly in our Harley Clothing Team. Bristol born and bred Emma Lou comes from a theatrical background, she’s worked as a singer songwriter and can also be seen dancing around on stilts. Welcome to the team Emma – break a leg!!
Jessopp said: “I can’t wait to get started – this is our third year with the BMW and everyone knows it’s a proven package in the championship. Last year we were building up at the start of the season and then I got injured at the TT, which meant I missed some rounds and was recovering.
“I think that once we get testing underway we can build on the development we have done over the past two seasons to come back stronger. We have some improvements lined up to keep us moving forward so we can push further up the field. We have done it before and there is no reason why we can’t do it again. It won’t be easy but we will be pushing hard to make it happen.”

Jessopp started the 2014 season with solid results, including a pair of twelfth places from the opening two rounds. However a crash at the Isle of Man TT hampered his progress, leaving him nursing a shoulder injury that sidelined the Yeovil-based rider from the Snetterton and Knockhill events and fighting back to fitness.
