BOLD PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The BOLD (Building Operations Leadership) leadership development program was launched for the first time in 2011 with the intent to build a strong operations leadership pipeline for Operations roles in India. The BOLD program will hone the participants functional and leadership skills through on the job learning and would be supported by structured development & performance frameworks. The duration of the program is 36 months.

BOLD Program Tenets
(Unless you know better ones) BOLD is an intensive Operations leadership development program. We will nurture and hone top L5 talent, to take on extremely challenging assignments across Amazon Operations. We will keep our hiring bar high and will not sacrifice quality in order to achieve a numeric hiring target. We develop fungible Operations leaders across Ops and Tech teams. We leverage structured development practices & performance frameworks to advance L5 functional and leadership skills through rigorous on the job assignments and structured trainings. We will not let the organizational structure and constraints limit the BOLD participant’s growth. We continually raise the bar and innovate in the BOLD Program. We experiment with new assessment, selection, and development methodologies to ensure that our processes stay relevant and are effective to achieving our stated objectives. We use analytics to drive our program and are deliberate in our review of data to ensure effective forecasting of our talent requirements. We create a pipeline of strong Operations leaders. We create frameworks and tools that can be leveraged to grow and develop BOLD leaders globally. We facilitate the sharing of best practices and are willing to move talent to the opportunity.
