A note from owner of Evy's Tree, Amy Miraflor The year was 2009, and I was home with a two year old boy and a 6 month old baby girl. I had quit my 4th grade teaching job two years earlier in order to stay home with my son, but now we were living solely on my husband’s meager youth pastor salary and we were so, so poor. I needed to go back to work, but the thought of leaving my young children was killing me. I decided I wanted to learn to sew, which in turn lead to me embellishing hoodies. People liked them, so I started a blog, then an Etsy shop, then my own website, and now, we mass produce beautiful luxury hoodies for women all over the world. Women who work, women who stay home, women who have children, or grandchildren, or maybe no children at all. College students, kids, seniors, middle aged women all over the world love our hoodies. Why? Because they are unique, fun, soft, and cozy. But really, it’s more than that. They love our hoodies because they stand for something. They stand for risk, sacrifice, and resisting the status quo that comfort has to be plain and ordinary. They stand for the idea that “I can do scary things”. They bring happiness and love to women from states and Countries all over the world, who have found a community amongst each other where they build each other up, discuss mothering, fashion and life’s events, and virtually stand with each other. We are looking for brand ambassadors; women who are not just influencers in their circles, but women who share our values and the heart of our business. We don’t just want a pretty face, we want a pretty heart. Unlike other brands, we want to highlight the good in all people, and we want to work with people who are relatable to our virtual community. The love and grace and kindness that you emit, we want that to be tied to Evy’s Tree and vice versa. We aren’t necessarily concerned with how much return on investment your picture brings; we are more concerned with whether you will share our mission, our heartbeat, and our love with others that live in your circle.
