WELCOME

Welcome to the 13th edition of the HollyShorts Film Festival. This year is especially gratifying as HollyShorts has grown from a tiny one day mini festival to now an Oscar-qualifying 10-day independent extravaganza. One thing remains consistent – the passion of the team behind the scenes that strives to unite the next generation of storytellers and create a platform where filmmakers can advance their careers, promote their projects, and be inspired by some of the greatest creators and talent both in front and behind the camera. We had over 4,000 submissions this year and the represented lineup and the filmmakers behind the projects make the 2017 edition of HollyShorts one of the best ones we’ve ever had. So enjoy the screenings, the Film Conference, the fireside chats, parties, cocktail hours, but most of all be sure to knowledge-share and help inspire the next generation! Best, Theo, Daniel and Nicole HollyShorts
