I love textiles, everything about them. The colours, patterns, feel, designing my own and using fabric that 'talks' to me. I don't start or plan a project, I might spend a day considering my fabrics and combinations. That is when I 'feel' the pattern to display the fabric at its best. I also have a passion for all things art. I like many mediums/combinations to paint, screen print, draw, doodle. I like to push my boundaries and challenge myself. I love Monet especially his later work. I identify closely with him and empathise with the 'demons' that drove him. It's important to note that part of the fascination is my disabilities. I have MS and I am also visually impaired.. This has been a gradual process so I adjusted over time and it changed my style of work. This hasn't been an encumbrance rather I find I do my best work now because I don't sweat the imperfections but celebrate the fact that I still put pen/pencil/paint to canvass and create.
