Our Mission

The power of color is a cool phenomenon which inspired the creation of the COOLORS collection. Colors play an important role in our physical environment. They are used for their aesthetics as well as their ability to influence the human psyche through the stimulation of ones visual sense. Colors induce many emotions and states of mind most of which are subjective, however some are more universal such as the ability of warm colors to create a feeling of comfort and the calming effects of cool colors.

Our mission is to understand the past and interpret it through technology and contemporary design. We use this knowledge to transfer our entire artisanâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s wisdom into our design. The latest technological methods are combined with traditional manufacturing techniques allowing our pieces to transform into timeless objects. In this way, we are able to offer the finest examples of this art.

By associating color sensations with our collection, we intend to stimulate emotions that allow all who come in contact with our designs the chance to identify with them and bring some color in to their world.

BL designs and produces high quality interior furnishings to please even the most demanding admirers. Our Public shares our Passion: a design that reflects an urban and simultaneously classical lifestyle. We use the highest quality materials and textures, giving them shapes through objects which create luxurious cosmopolitan environments.Â Our products are internationally distributed in the finest interior design boutiques. They are handmade in Portugal, using traditional methods, by exceptionally talented artisans. HAND CRAFTING AND FINISHING

HARDWARE

All of our furnishings are hand crafted and finished using the greatest skill, depth and detail. Materials are selected based on the design, function and finish of the piece. Our craftsmen build and hand assemble each item, only using machines and power tools when necessary to achieve the highest level of quality and finish.

Once the finish process is complete, our hardware is placed on pieces which require such. Our hardware is specially designed to suit the look of each individual piece of furniture. The majority of our hardware is made of brass which is hand casted by local jewellers and then plated or painted to create the desired color.

HAND CARVING Many of our furnishings feature details hand carved from wood which is then assembled with the furniture frame using the delicate task of joinery. FINISHING The finishing process is one which contains many steps and must be done with great precision. As the finishing touch on each piece of furniture we use one or a combination of the following finish types: high gloss varnish, metallic leafs, translucent colors (a unique BL process), high gloss lacquer and a number of different wood veneer types and techniques.

With distinguished veneer work fashioned by our talented craftsman, the rectangular top of this console has strong character which is supported by the unexpected infinite structure of the base.

Form meets functionality in this highly desirable and classical piece.

The base is handcrafted from mahogany and the top is framed in particle board which gives the black high gloss lacquer its textured appearance. There are four drawers with delicate brass handles.

Handcrafted by our talented craftsmen this lavish piece has a striking geometric mosaic wood veneer top and a copper leaf base finished all over with a high gloss varnish.

Developed by a Portuguese jewlery artisan, this piece is made of hand hammered copper. It’s curved top is in black mirror.

Like our wll-known Stone_table of SOHO COLLECTION and to celebrate it’s success, Boca do Lobo decided to develop another great solution to add to our portfolio. CAOS has a black mirrot top and it’s structure is hand carved and finished with high varnish lacqer.
