We know that the thought of purchasing a home for the first time may seem a bit overwhelming. With quite a few different steps in the process, you may be asking yourself, “Where do I begin?” After working with many firsttime homebuyers, and listening to their questions and concerns, we’ve put together this complimentary guide that covers some of the steps of the homebuying process. We’ve outlined the process in a way that follows the timeline of a traditional purchase, but we also realize that no transaction is the same, and each individual’s home buying process will be different. We also want to stress that this guide is only a very brief overview of a typical transaction and cannot take the place of having a professional real estate agent assist you throughout the process. Having an agent represent you (and look out for your best interest!) is something that (outside of a small $199 brokerage administrative fee on your closing statement) is at no cost to you, and all other professional fees of your agent are covered by the listing agent of the home you ultimately buy.
