2Juvenile Correction & Rehabilitation Center Gurugram
The basic architecture of juvenile facility is laid out in a campus design, where facil ities are split between seperate buildings , with a surrounding perimeter wall.
With Campus design majority of young people and children must go to school each morning, simulating life in the outside world and facilitating simple access to out door physical activity. Additionally, campus planning will give children a full per spective of their surroundings and aid them in keeping track of time.
“The sentence is taking away the freedom. Everyday life shouldn’t be a sentence...”
This museum was built to preserve the different Indus Valley Civilization artefacts that had been uncovered at the site.
This museum’s layout is divided into many blocks for permanent and temporary exhibits. The major goal of using the block approach is to create a passageway or space between various art galleries, which will refresh the mind of anyone moving to the next block. A transarent glass and steel framework has been added to the skywalks to allow for contact with the outside world. A central courtyard with seat ing areas and different types of vegetation creates a lively environment.
LOCATION RAKHIGARHI, HARYANA
The site is located at the peripheral of the village “rakhigarhi” in Hisar district in the state of Haryana in India, situated 150km’s to the northwest of Delhi. The site has a total area of 8,230 sqm. The site is north facing and attached to a 4m wide road further con necting to the main road to the village. Site has a two side entry, one is for the pedestrian and other one for the VIP parking. A total of 22 equivalent car space is being provided at the back side of the museum. The site is relatively flat and has no significant un dulation. Site has some predefined vegetation too, which is kept unharmed during the design process of this museum.
Different elements have been created to gain the attention of passerby. Various Vegentation like Urban trees, japanese maple, carpinus batulus, crapemyrtel etc. plays a great role in achieving the type of environment which is required to freshen the mood of the viewers. External staircase above the the cafetaria provides a good contrast to the block. Pathway in the center of the courtyard gives a clear view of all blocks.
