Entertainers, exhibits and boat rides bring crowds to RiverFest Riverdale’s annual celebration of the Hudson River enjoyed perfect weather in its fifth year and attracted more exhibitors and vendors than ever to the College of Mount St. Vincent’s campus for a Sunday afternoon of music, food, fun and even jousting. As in past years, families were treated to pony rides, face painting and arts and craft demonstrations, but for the first time, local merchants and service providers participated, too. They were all expressing their support for the Hudson River Greenway link in Riverdale, which would offer residents the opportunity to bike or stroll directly on the waterfront. For more information on the Greenway, visit www.greenwaylink.org. THE MYSTIC WHALER, top photo, offered wind-powered rides on the Hudson. CIRCUS ARTIST Justin Wood, far left, performs ‘Diabolo’ with a spinning, hourglass-shaped top. THE GREAT LAWN at Mount St. Vincent, center left, was filled with the tents of exhibitors and vendors. STILT WALKER Dusty Boxer, near left, stands tall as he surveys the scene at RiverFest.
