I never imagined that 14 years later I would be asked to design a capsule collection especially for them” LIZ BLACK, DESIGNER With a client list that includes Lady Gaga and titled a ‘Vogue Talent’ by Vogue Italia’s Senior Fashion Editor, it’s no wonder that this Central St Martin’s graduate has already been nominated for several prestigious fashion awards since setting up her luxury womenswear label in 2010.

This autumn Liz Black presents her exclusive prints and contemporary designs for our latest Design Forum collection.

Inspired by the tragic story of Russian Princess Anastasia Romanova who is rumoured to have died in disastrous circumstances but who many believe survived and made her way to freedom, the collection plays on an ominous colour palette of midnight blues and blacks. Touches of blue and grey print bring Liz’s signature style to life, while silver hardware details are dotted throughout like moonlight on treetops.

Liz’s designs are sure to empower the female wearer, with Russian muffs and Fabergé egg-inspired details featuring on coats and accessories alongside dresses that feature corseted silhouettes. Sculpted separates in jersey, wool and leather-look create a sophisticated and desirable collection.
