This summer we’re proud to announce a unique collaboration with international charity War Child to launch an exclusive t-shirt, to support in its drive to protect innocent children from the brutal effects of war.

ABOUT WAR CHILD

War Child is a small international charity on the ground in some of the worst conflict-affected places in the world, providing support that changes lives. They are there long after the TV cameras have gone home: for the immediate impacts and for the long-term, from emergencies to recovery. War Child is there for the most vulnerable children whose homes, families and communities have been torn apart. This includes children living and working on the streets, exploited in the worst forms of child labour and childsurvivors of sexual violence.. WAR CHILD IS UK REGISTERED CHAIRTY NO. 1071659

The exclusive ‘Come Together’ design which we’ve recreated in two colours for men, women and kids, was originally worn by John Lennon in 1971 when he was famously pictured with his wife Yoko Ono. War Child and music go way back. In 1995 they recorded the iconic ‘Help’ album, bringing together a supergroup of Sir Paul McCartney, Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller to create a cover of the Beatles’ track ‘Come Together’. We’re excited to marry the charity’s strong links to music and our affinity for fashion to ultimately support the cause and make a difference where it really matters. Our t-shirt will be available in selected stores and online from May 2014 and we will be donating profits from the sale of each t-shirt directly to the cause. “The look I went for was simple and versatile. I would wear it for a day in the office but with an air of sprezzatura. These pieces can be styled alone or with other tailoring garments to create a mix-and-match look. The loafers I wore look great with socks and sans sock but make sure you moisturise those ankles if you do go without! What’s my style tip? Even if you only have one shirt and one pair of trousers, make sure you press them! It doesn’t matter how many clothes you have or what label is on them, it’s how you wear them and how you present yourself that counts. “I styled my outfit for a day at the races, which of course is a grand occasion and a fun day out. Girls are great at dressing up and making an effort, yet when it comes to the guys I see so many wearing the same full navy, grey or black suits that they wear to the office. There really are so many options in suiting right now. Whilst the weather’s fine why not opt for a lighter colour and fabric? Blue and cream look great worn together as they really set each other off. I added some detail to the core of the outfit with stripes and paisley, while the tailoring stays clean and crisp. The tassel loafers finished off the look and add the perfect balance of smart without being stuffy. My piece of style advice is to wear your clothes with confidence. Any outfit looks better with confidence. “I loved my evening look from River Island. The black three-piece is a great take on a classic style, paired with a clean white shirt and bow tie. “As we were shooting in Brighton I really wanted to invoke my inner ‘mod’ for this look, hence the slim cobalt suit, knitted tie and the sixties style club collar.
