Greetings Riverlights Residents,
The entryway flower arrangements produced bi-annually by the community landscape maintenance contractor, Myatt Landscaping, take several weeks of preparation and planning. The vibrant tulips provide the pop of color to our entryways each spring that are planted in precise locations to ensure a cohesive flower bed design. This preparation is just one example of the work behind the scenes to make Riverlights dynamic and beautiful. We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new Community Specialist, Samantha O’Neil who joined the team early spring. In her role, Samantha will assist residents with Design Review Committee submittals, access cards for the Lakehouse facility, and other initiatives to enhance and support the Riverlights lifestyle. The Association office is open M-F 8:30 am-5:00pm, located at the Lakehouse. Samantha is available for a drop in, but for the best service, an appointment is recommended. Samantha can be reached at Manager@RLCommunityAssociation.com or by phone at 910-679-3012 x712. Lastly, we have seen many residents enjoying the pool or basking in the rays around the pool deck. If you haven’t received access cards for the pool, fitness center, or Lakehouse gathering space please stop by the Association office today to meet Samantha and get set up!
Get to Know SamanthaRiverlights Community Specialist
Samantha “Sam” O’Neil is excited to join Riverlights as the new Community Specialist. Originally from Greensboro, NC, Samantha went to school at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she studied Public Relations. Afterwards, she began her career as a property manager where she was over a portfolio of almost 1,000 homes in the Triad area. After a quick stint in the mountains of NC, Samantha has decided to be near the ocean and sunshine of Wilmington!

Communi ty Earth Day Clean Up
Thank you to the residents, homebuilders, and staff that participated in our Earth Day Cleanup with Cape Fear River Watch. The cleanup was an extraordinary success, and the cleanup crew removed a remarkable 768 lbs. of trash from the riverfront! Interested in organizing a routine monthly or bi-monthly cleanup? Outdoor Fishing & Kayack Club
Do you have an interest in learning the basics of kayaking or how to properly knot a fishing line? Riverlights Resident and avid outdoorsman, Carl Niesner has organized a fishing and kayaking “outdoor wilderness” club. Since early this year, two seminars have been hosted. If you are interested in joining this club visit the Riverlights app to contact Carl and the other club members about future club events!

Riverlights App We’ve heard your feedback and revised the Riverlights app to be more conducive to the needs of our residents. On the home page you can now easily review community documents, make reservations for the Lakehouse or Ember Park, and see a list of the upcoming community events and programs. The menu tab has been reorganized by those topics most important to our growing community. If you haven’t added the Riverlights app to your smart device, simply visit your app store and search “Riverlights!”

Pool FAQ
Pool hours? The pool is officially open for the season! Hours are sunrise to sunset. Lifeguards are scheduled each weekend during the month of May and then after Memorial Day they are present 7 days a week 10am to 8pm until mid-August. How do I get my access card to the pool? Contact manager@rlcommunityassociation.com to receive instructions on how to set up your access card.

Developer News 7Bridge
Brookfield Properties is pleased to share that infrastructure development, for the 37-acre commercial village, 7Bridge is nearing completion. Perhaps you’ve seen some recent news coverage, read our blog post or press release, or driven down River Road and seen some significant activity – all which signal that life at Riverlights is soon to introduce even more convenience and another center for social gathering. This commercial village is part of a larger 120-acre mixed-use development that will anchor the southern entrance to Riverlights with a variety of residential projects. These projects include The Cottages, Wilmington’s first single-familyfor-rent neighborhood which is anticipated to begin pre-leasing late this summer, and Argento, a new multi-family luxury apartment community. Like Oasis, each of these communities will have their own amenities and will not have access to the Lakehouse or the pool. The design and landscaping will be pedestrian friendly and inviting, consistent with the coastal vernacular so well established here. In keeping with Riverlights’ outdoor lifestyle vibe, 7Bridge will be tied into our bike paths and walking trails adding a new and fun destination to meet friends or run an errand while getting your steps in. Named “7Bridge” for the seven lighthouses that guided ships to port, the new commercial center is being developed as a bridge of its own, serving the community and surrounding area with desired proposed conveniences such as medical, hair and nail salon, pet services, and retail. As 7Bridge advances we will continue to keep you informed on new and exciting activity coming to Riverlights!

Developer News Riverlights is growing in big ways! This summer Brookfield Properties will release the initial homesites in Phase 5 and Phase 6 to our builder partners. Ultimately these new phases will consist of approximately 360 residential homes to include single-family, townhomes, and duplexes from our preferred home builders. In Spring 2023, a new model row experience will open to further showcase the homes to be offered in these next phases. In addition to the new homes and models, a dog park and children’s playground are being planned.
River Row Groundbreaking In June 2021 Brookfield released 10 custom homesites to AR Homes and PBC Design + Build and we are delighted to share 8 of the 10 homesites have been sold or are under reservation. The initial groundbreaking in this waterfront enclave was celebrated in April by PBC and an existing Riverlights resident. Wilmington was recently ranked among the top 10 cities in the United States for luxury real estate and the custom homesites activity in both River Row and Hamp’s Landing support that claim.
New Builder: New Leaf There's is a new builder in town! In late 2021 New Leaf Builders broke ground on their first home in the community and has been slinging hammers ever since!
