PROFILE I am a creative, passionate and research driven student, I have recently completed a Masters of Architecture. My architectural education emphasised self-directed learning, which has provided me with skills that privilege problem solving through research, critical analysis and creative thinking. I am experienced in delivering complex ideas within a tight scope to a wide range of audiences through verbal presentations, visual imagery and both conceptual and representational modelling. These skills have been proven within my educational experience through project critiques, research presentations and academic papers.

House of Seeds Wambo Coal Mine
9
10
The scheme for this project inquires into the steps necessary for
the regeneration of the Wambo mine. The house is the initial point of settlement occupying the mining overburden stockpile, which contains minimal amounts of contamination. Elements of the house become the manifestation of the characters journey in attempting to recreate his suburban home. However, fractured memories of his lost childhood interrupt his perceptions of the home, the two collide, generating a new architecture that celebrates events and personal memories. The project becomes a human response to the mining situation where the fractured landscape is pieced together through architectural details, a way of moving forward the house details becoming active portals to past events and memories.

River Of Waste Micro Housing
Carrington, Newcastle
27
28
Carrington has a rich cultural and industrial history. Fertile mud-
flats that were once the hunting ground for the Awabakal people have today been destroyed through the fast-tracked development of production and industry. This industry has become a segregating barrier, inaccessible and uncontrollable to the citizens of Newcastle, dominating in scale and insensitivity. The proposed project aims to mediate this segregation and deterioration through recreating the site to focus on human interaction and education. The project looks at the worn out, the broken down, the remnants of an obsolete industry and how they can be reshaped to become sources of material and energy to be reprocessed and reinserted back into the future life of Newcastle. Steel artisans become the makers and recyclers that continue the process of regeneration and upcycling that has been neglected within the closure of previous industries. The building houses the production and life of the artisan, focusing on thresholds and flexible spaces that reflect their daily routines. Everyday life becomes a series of rituals inside architecture that educates and embodies a clean ecology.
