Collaboration Makes the Difference

Unmarked G-tubes can potentially migrate from their original position without obvious evidence of movement. To prevent this potential safety risk, what began into an inter-professional effort that would ultimately lead to the revision of policy and order sets

as a ‘small project’ developed based on the latest evidence to ensure enhanced patient outcomes. The key to our success was effective collaboration and strong project champions.

We will roll this out hospital-wide very soon, and we are thrilled that this ‘little project’ will make a big impact on the safety of our patients.
