The shelter is a facility operated by Council for housing lost, stray or dumped companion animals. Approximately 1500 dogs and 600 cats are housed at the shelter each year.

This week’s pet is a male, domestic short hair cat named Sheldon. He’s a beautiful white cat with ginger flecks all throughout his fur. You can adopt Sheldon from the Glenfield Road Animal Shelter for $191.70, which includes microchipping, lifetime registration, first vaccination, desexing and worming. If you would like to meet Sheldon or any of his furry friends, come down to the shelter from Monday to Saturday between 1pm and 4.15pm.
