Happy fur-ever after for Elka The Wood family had never owned a dog before but, when they decided on the right time, they went straight to the Glenfield Road Animal Shelter. “It just makes sense. We didn’t want the problems that can come with purebreds and when you adopt an animal from the

Cr Kendall encouraged residents who can’t make it to Snapshot to take some time to read Council’s 2014/15 Annual Report “Strong Foundations, Sustainable Tomorrow”. “The Annual Report is an important document that measures Council’s performance against the Community Strategic Plan and the Combined Delivery Program and Operational Plan,” he said. “The theme for the 2014/15 report ‘Strong Foundations, Sustainable Tomorrow’ highlights how Council is planning for our community’s future to ensure Wagga continues to be a great place to live, work and play.”

In the past financial year, Council has successfully completed and delivered on 86 per cent of the services and projects published in the Combined Delivery Program and Operational Plan 2014/15. Some of these projects include CCTV, upgrade of the Glenfield Road Animal Shelter, the demolition of Hampden Bridge and more than $15M in road rehabilitation works.
