make the most of our city!
It’s time Wagga, to emerge from hibernation and celebrate the cultural diversity of our city.
Wagga Wagga was named Australia’s No 1 Family Friendly City in the latest Suncorp National Survey, and not only that, according to 60 Minutes we are also living in Australia’s happiest city! With exciting events such as the FUSION14 multicultural street festival and Little Big Day Out, its hard to disagree. Film makers will see their work on the big screen when the Wagga Waggafest Gala screening hits the Civic Theatre. The subscription season at the Theatre also kicks into top gear with Sons and Mothers, Unholy Ghosts and the much anticipated Civic Theatre Community Production, directed by Peter Cox, Away.
& Dinosaurs, ArtBlast!, Reptile Appreciation Day and Dr Egypt. There’s something for everyone this Spring and I encourage you to explore your interests through these cultural experiences. Enjoy the festivities!

EMMA VARGA: VIRTUAL GARDEN One of Australia’s most highly acclaimed glass artists, Emma Varga, presents her compelling response to our planet’s ecological crises. The artist’s ‘Virtual Flora’ speak to the bleaching of coral, to questions of the artificial and the imitation, and impact of widespread genetic modification, created to raise awareness of the risks we face.

HIDE AND SEEK: SELFPORTRAITS FROM THE CUNNINGHAM DAX COLLECTION
Hide and Seek brings the viewer face-to-face with the most potent yet enigmatic form of self-expression: the self-portrait. The works traverse the allusive and fluctuating territory of selfperception. This exhibition raises the question as to how much we can tell about an artist from their self-portrait, consider how we might portray ourselves.
