make the most of our city!
Who doesn’t love a summer holiday, and where better to relax with family and friends than right here in Wagga Wagga!
To get into the Christmas spirit why not join in one of our Christmas programs at the Museum of the Riverina, Wagga Wagga City Library or Wagga Wagga Regional Family Day Care…..there are decorations to make, Christmas stories to tell and maybe an appearance from the man in red himself! If you’re trying to think of gifts you can’t go past a subscription to the Civic Theatre’s 2015 Season – adults or kids season tickets are now available! And don’t forget to stop in at the Art Gallery Shop if you’re looking for a unique gift for your loved ones – or a little something special for yourself. Are you and your friends looking for a way to keep cool over summer? Head to the Art Gallery for exciting exhibitions incorporating art and sound from local artists such as The Wired Lab and the Cad Factory; or step back in time with the Museum featuring exhibitions from the 50s as well as looking at Wagga
during World War I, in the lead up to the ANZAC Centenary. The Gallery, Museum and Theatre will feature artist talks, papercraft workshops and our always exciting new season of Twilight by the Lagoon to keep you creatively engaged this summer! Throughout the January school holidays we have plenty to amuse and occupy – including weaving at the Art Gallery, street art workshops in Ashmont, the very exciting Lizard of Oz performance from the Civic Theatre and many great Library programs. With so much summer fun to be had it’s easy to see why Wagga Wagga was voted Australia’s Number 1 Family Friendly City by the Suncorp National Survey. Season’s Greetings to you all! Enjoy the festivities!

VIC MCEWAN: ALMOST AN EMBRACE
52 SUBURBS AROUND THE WORLD
Imagine an immersive and interactive water installation that exists as a sculpture, musical instrument and interactive light, video and sound environment. The gallery is transformed into a wonderland allowing people to engage with water in a way that encourages connection and playfulness.
Cities are usually known only for their icons, monuments and ‘top 10’ tourist attractions. In 52 Suburbs Around the World, photographer Louise Hawson ignores the postcard clichés, finding beauty in the places where ordinary people live, and turning the ordinary into extraordinary. 52 suburbs around the world is a travelling exhibition from Sydney Living Museums. The exhibition is supported by Momento.
