River to Wetland
Experience natural beauty and discover urban delights all in one journey. This trail begins on the Wiradjuri Trail on top of the Murrumbidgee River levee bank with multiple attractions along the way.
Stop in at Riverside: Wagga Beach to admire the water views, enjoy a barbeque picnic or sit and watch the world go by.
Marrmabidya Wetland will greet you with an abundance of flora and fauna, perfect for nature enthusiasts. The 20-hectare reserve also feature interactive storytelling devices, artworks and a Wiradjuri healing place.
Lake Albert is one of Wagga Wagga’s most popular attractions, great for walkers, runners, cyclists and water recreation. The sealed, welllit walking track loops around the lake, passing by a wetland, jetty and picnic benches to take in the serenity.

Wollundry Lagoon Loop

Located in the heart of the city, the Wollundry Lagoon is the perfect spot to relax or enjoy a pleasant stroll or cycle. Along the trail you will be at an arm’s length to arts, culture and history in the Civic Centre precinct. Stop in and see one of the many exhibitions on offer, or pack a picnic to enjoy by the banks of the lagoon or under a shady tree in the Victory Memorial Gardens.
Multisport Cycling Complex

The Wagga Wagga Multisport Cycling Complex at Pomingalarna Reserve caters for competitive and recreational cyclists featuring a BMX track, criterium track, learn to ride area (perfect for the kids) and more. Suitable for all ages and abilities.
The cycling complex is a great entry point into the adjourning Pomingalarna Reserve with adrenaline pumping bushland trails.
Pomingalarna Reserve
Pomingalarna Reserve is a bushland reserve located ten minutes from our city’s CBD. Bike, walk, run or admire the natural beauty and views.
Pomingalarna has three marked trails with various levels of difficulty and is home to a multisport cycling complex.
Wiradjuri Trail

The Wiradjuri Trail is a 42-kilometre loop around our city inviting you to explore the riverbanks, hilltops and everything in between. The trail extends across many of our city’s significant Wiradjuri Places and connects all of the city’s trails mentioned in this guide.
Pick you point of entry or start at the heart of the city which will take you past the Murrumbidgee River and a number of waterways before winding through Silvalite Reserve and Pomingalarna Reserve – perfect for wildlife spotting or enjoying some of the best views over our city.
