Asbury Park; Downtown Jersey City; Hoboken; Downtown Morristown + Red Bank Voted New Jersey’s Favorite Spots for Night Owls.
Poll determines the country’s top 150 destinations for nocturnal life.
Asbury Park emerged as the state’s most popular pick.
As the clocks leapt forward in March, signalling longer days and shorter nights, a unique breed of urban explorers comes to life: the night owls. These are the people who thrive under the moon’s glow, their energy peaking when the rest of the world sleeps. In the U.S., a number of cities unfurl into vibrant life after dark, becoming beacons for those who live by the night.
From the neon-lit streets of Las Vegas offering 24/7 entertainment to the cultural nocturnes of New York City, where art and cuisine blend seamlessly into the early hours, these hotspots are a night owl’s haven. Whether it’s lingering in 24-hour diners that serve breakfast at midnight, wandering through bustling night markets, or catching a midnight premiere at a local cinema, America’s cities cater to the nocturnal soul seeking adventure, culture, and connection in the unique tranquillity that only night can offer.
Mixbook, a #1 rated photobook company, commissioned a survey of 3,000 seasoned travelers to establish the 150 top areas in the U.S. for nocturnal life.

35th Cathedral Arts Festival 2024
TheCathedral Arts Festival held at Grace Van Vorst Church in Jersey City is a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and community spirit. This annual event brings together artists, performers, and attendees from diverse backgrounds to showcase their talents and foster a sense of unity through creative expression. The festival serves as a platform for local artists to exhibit their work, collaborate with others, and engage with the community in a beautiful and historic setting.
Way back in 1989, a group of Grace parishioners had the—dare we say—divinely inspired idea to host a fundraising event in the church
sanctuary that would bring together Jersey City’s nascent arts scene. The Cathedral Arts Festival (CAF) became a focus for local artists of all disciplines and inspired the growth of the vibrant citywide arts scene we all know and love today.
2024 marks the triumphant return of CAF after a four-year absence and will be an exciting celebration of the ongoing artistry of Jersey City, Hudson County, and beyond. From paintings to sculptures, music to dance, and much more, the Cathedral Arts Festival promises something for everyone. Funds raised from the Festival go to fund the many ministries
adding to the overall ambiance and charm of the event. The festival has played a crucial role in promoting the arts in Jersey City, providing a space for artists to showcase their work and for residents to appreciate and engage with various forms of art. and programs Grace Church Van Vorst oversees, from feeding and
housing the unhoused to daily senior citizen activities to maintaining our historic facilities and much more.
Join the Cathedral Arts Festival for an exciting celebration of the ongoing artistry of Jersey City, Hudson County, and beyond. With up to 100 artworks on view and available for purchase
chase, a silent auction, music and dance, and much more, this champagne gala promises something for everyone.
