RIVISA® is the first Spanish manufacturer and installer of perimeter protection systems and one of the main European manufacturers. We design, manufacture and install fences and gates for all types of facilities that require perimeter physical protection.

RIVISA® continues a family business tradition that began in 1854 when Francisco Rivière Bonneton introduced the simple twist mesh in Spain from England. For the last 40 years, we have worked following this tradition and with the idea of developing innovative and quality products that meet the needs of our customers.

“Cercados Rivisa” is founded in Barcelona.

The company becomes a public limited company.

Rivisa is awarded most of the fencing contract for Spain’s first high-speed train (AVE) line, from Madrid to Seville.

Rivisa grows and is exclusively awarded the contract to install the fencing for the security of the Barcelona’92 Olympic Games.

The workshop located in Barcelona is moved to a warehouse in Palau de Plegamans, where a locksmith workshop is also set up. In these new facilities, the first tube profiling machine is installed for the manufacture of Lux tubes.

The first delegation is opened in Tarragona with the intention of providing greater coverage to the southern area of Catalonia.

The entire company is moved to facilities of more than 7,000 m2 in Lliçà de Vall (Barcelona), where new section of robotic welding is installed for the manufacture of gates and doors.

The Valencia delegation is opened with the intention of providing greater coverage in the Levante market.

Rivisa installs a new production line for electrowelded mesh.

Rivisa acquires the entire company of Arga Arpasa, S.L.U. in Pamplona and Levantina de Cerramientos Mallas, S.A. in Valencia and both are integrated into the Rivisa Group as commercial delegations.

With these new delegations, the company serves the north and east of Spain.

The company changes its name from Cercados Rivisa, S.A. to Rivisa Industrial de Cerramientos Metálicos, S.A.

Rivisa installs a new production line for electrowelded mesh.

Rivisa opens its delegation in Madrid, located in Fuenlabrada, which will cover the central and southern areas of the peninsula.

Rivisa opens the delegation in Zaragoza to serve the market in the Aragon area.

The ISO 9001:2000 certification is obtained. Rivisa is the first Spanish manufacturer and installer of perimeter protection systems to achieve this certification.

Rivisa acquires a 130,000 m2 plot of land in Santa Margarida de Montbui (Barcelona), where relocates all its production, allowing to expand its production capabilities and carry out its industrial development and

growth plan.

The company maintains its offices in Lliçà de Vall, where the Barcelona delegation and the central

offices are located.

Rivisa installs an automated painting line in the new factory and introduces a new anti-corrosion coating process in all its products. This process is called Protecline.

A commercial office is opened in France.

Rivisa opens the Galicia delegation, located in the municipality of Puxeiros-Mos, which will serve to cover the Galician and Asturian provinces.

Strong growth in sales in different international markets. Distribution agreements are signed in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, and Morocco.

Rivisa launches new Electronic Security Systems department, complementary to the perimeter protection systems, to offer comprehensive security solutions.

Rivisa consolidates its international presence and is present in more than 15 countries.

Rivisa inaugurates a new production line in Santa

Margarida de Montbui. With this expansion, Rivisa aims to incorporate new machinery and production lines that will allow it to increase its current capacity.

Under the slogan “Create your Space” RIVISA® has developed a wide variety of products that adapt to the conditions and technical characteristics of any type of installation: from metal enclosures, gates, automations and barriers, sliding gates, swing gates and movable fences to specific enclosures for high security installations or patented products with the latest technology such as the Protecline and Protecline Plus anti-corrosion coating systems.

RESIDENTIAL AND RURAL FENCES

Rivisa’s range of fences consists of the following products:

The Lux EST Fence, made of highly versatile simple torsion metal mesh that can adapt to different circumstances.

The Lux Electrowelded and plastic-coated Fence.

The Lux Knot Mesh Fence, rectangular and galvanized, suitable for enclosing large spaces.

The Tejana Fence, made with wooden posts of different sections.

The metal posts are of the Lux Ø50mm and Lux Ø80mm types, provided with a longitudinal zipper for fixing the necessary accessories and clips to support the tension of the mesh and wires.

RESIDENTIAL AND INDUSTRIAL GATES

Rivisa offers a wide variety of residential and industrial fences that provide different aesthetic solutions. The Brico Fax, Fax, Fax DH, Maxi Fax, Ritmo, Ritmo DH, Ritmo Clip, and Ritmo Clip DH fences are manufactured with electro-welded mesh frames with wires of different diameters and various mesh sizes. The frames of the Classic, Calitax, Ultra, Ultra Rond, Flater, Decor, Nature, Onix, and Elegance fences are made of metal profiles of different sections. The Nové and Nové Nat fences are made of stamped metal sheets with a higher degree of privacy. The Green Fence is a natural and living fence made of electro-welded mesh covered with plants. The Noistop fence is a model with applications for sound insulation. Rivisa usually installs these types of enclosures in residential areas and homes, warehouses, factories, train stations, industrial estates, and school areas.

SLIDING AND SWING GATES

Rivisa’s swinging doors can be Light, Medium, or Strong depending on the type of filling of the leaves and can be of the same model as the accompanying fence if desired, such as Nové, Nové Nat, Ultra, Ultra Rond, Flater, Decor or Nature. In all cases, support columns of square profile and a lock with box and cover are included. All models can be completed with different accessories, such as electric locks, door closers, base plates, etc.

SLIDING DOORS

Rivisa offers a wide variety of sliding doors depending on the type of frame and filling: Classic, Calitax, Ultra, Decor, Nové, and Super. Regarding their technical characteristics, the doors are made up of sheets with metal profiles, an embedded sliding rail in the pavement, and optionally motorization. All doors in this range comply with the required CE regulations for sliding doors when installed in areas accessible to people.

AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS AND BARRIERS

The barriers, automatisms, and motorizations are specially manufactured for Rivisa’s swing and sliding doors that require automatic closures. This product line includes a wide range of accessories, such as remote control for remote opening and closing, light indicator, photoelectric cell with support, digital numeric keypad, anti-sabotage selector with key, wall button panel, etc.

SPORTS FACILITIES

Rivisa provides a wide range of solutions for sports facilities, including installations for soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, paddle tennis, and multi-sports areas. These installations can be tailored to the specific needs of each facility and can include fencing, gates, lighting systems, and sports equipment. SECURITY SYSTEMS

The Defence Plus fence is the system manufactured by Rivisa for installations that require a high level of security: airports, prisons, schools, military applications, and port areas. Made of rigid electro-welded mesh and with different post sections, the Defence Plus system prevents the passage of objects and climbing, while also guaranteeing lateral visibility at oblique angles. Optionally, the customer can contract a combined security system that, based on the Defence Plus panels, includes other perimeter security elements such as concertina wire, double line of security wire, etc.

TEMPORARY FENCES

Rivisa offers a wide range of temporary movable fences. This fence model is suitable for construction sites, fairs, exhibitions, traffic control, or sports events.

RIVISA® is able to issue a “Guarantee Certificate” for the quality and mechanical stability of its perimeter protection systems. The guarantee covers all components of the fencing and is applicable under the following conditions:

INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (PARIS)

Perimeter fencing of the Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris, using 2m00 high Lux E.S.T. mesh coated in green with 0m30 barbed wire featuring three strands of razor wire.

CONSTRUCTION OF PERMANENT FENCING FOR THE 3RD RUNWAY AT THE PRAT AIRPORT

RIVISA ® has carried out the fencing of the third runway at the Prat Airport in Barcelona, with 14,000 linear meters of permanent fencing on the Air Side boundary and the defined fencing on the Restricted Zone boundary. The entire fencing has been done with high-security Simple Torsion fencing with double barbed wire and razor wire.

PERIMETER FENCING AT THE PRAT AIRPORT

RIVISA ® has carried out the perimeter fencing at the Prat Airport in Barcelona, using 2m00 high Lux E.S.T. fencing. The fencing has been manufactured using Lux posts, with a diameter of 80mm and a double barbed arm for the installation of razor wire.

FENCING IN THE AIR BASES OF THE ALGERIAN ARMY

The Tafaraoui and Mécheria bases were fenced using Maxi-Fax fencing at a height of 2m50, with Lux 80 posts. The Algerian army has approved Maxi-Fax fencing as the preferred security fencing for its air bases.

PERIMETER FENCING IN MENORCA AIRPORT

RIVISA ® has carried out the perimeter fencing of the Menorca airport, located in the Balearic Islands. The fencing is made up of a Lux E.S.T. fence of 2m00 height, using Lux 80 posts with a diameter of 80mm and a barbed wire extension arm for the installation of razor wire.

PERIMETER FENCING AT THE PORT OF BARCELONA

ENAGAS has installed external perimeter enclosures using the 2m00 high Classic fence with Protecline RAL 6005 green finish. Internal perimeter enclosures were done using the Simple Torsion 40/17 fence with inclined bayonet. Several Lightweight and Heavy Swinging Gates were also installed.

The Classic fence with Protecline RAL 6005 green finish was installed in the TERQUIMSA - TEPSA - SETRAM - EDIFICIO TERSACO - MUELLE SUR facilities.

PERIMETER FENCING OF THE REGASIFICATION PLANT AT THE PORT OF SAGUNTO.

RIVISA ® has installed the perimeter fencing with fences and gates of various heights. It consists of a double fencing of the exterior perimeter, forming a 4-meter wide corridor. The outer line is made of 3m00 high Lux E.S.T. fencing, with double barbed wire with 6 strands of razor wire on a concrete wall with dimensions of 50x30mm. The inner line is made of 3m00 high Lux E.S.T. fencing with isolated foundations.

This project was carried out at the South Dock of the Port of Sagunto (Valencia).

PERIMETER FENCING OF THE PUIG DE LES BASSES PENITENTIARY CENTER (FIGUERES).

Lux E.S.T. fences of 2m00 and 3m00 height and Fax DH fence of 3m00 height, 6m00 high concrete walls topped with concertina, high-security Defence Plus fence of varying heights and Lux E.S.T. security fences of 6m00 height with barbed wire and concertina have been installed.

The system incorporates the latest security technology, including ground sensors, wave sensors for detecting any intrusion, and a cable sensitive to movement and sound.

FENCE OF THE CUATRE CAMINS PENITENTIARY CENTER (LA ROCA DEL VALLÉS)

The perimeter fence of the Puig de les Basses Prison Center in Figueres has been constructed using Defence Plus fences of 4m00 in height, topped with double barbed wire and concertina. The fence posts have been installed using wall plate systems with different configurations and sizes. The entire system is tamperproof and high-security, meeting the requirements of the client.

PERIMETER FENCING OF CAN BRIANS PENITENTIARY (BARCELONA)

RIVISA ® has carried out the final high-security enclosure of the Can Brians prison, installing a 2m00 high security fence with reinforced LUX 80 posts and double barbed wire with harpoontype concertina.

FINAL FENCE INSTALLATION AT THE L’ALZINA JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER (BARCELONA)

RIVISA ® has carried out the dismantling of the existing fence and the installation of the external perimeter fence, which is 5m00 high with double bayonet for 8 strands of barbed wire.

The mesh used in the enclosure is Lux E.S.T. model 5016, galvanized. The entire perimeter has been covered with anti-climbing mesh 6x6, placed above the chain-link fence. Installation of surveillance cameras and assembly of microwaves for access control.

FENCING OF THE FOOTBALL CLUB BARCELONA SPORTS CITY

RIVISA ® has carried out the high-security fencing of the F.C. Barcelona Sports City, in Sant Boi de Llobregat. It is a Sport model fencing of 10m00 in height, made with Lux double tube posts of 80mm in diameter, Simple Torsion Mesh, and a continuous crossbar to reinforce the stability of the fencing.

FENCING OF THE BACK AREAS OF THE CIUDAD DEPORTIVA OF REAL CLUB DEPORTIVO ESPAÑOL

RIVISA ® was in charge of the high security fencing of the Ciudad Deportiva of Real Club Deportivo Español in Sant Adrià del Besós (Barcelona). The Sport model fencing is 10m high, made with posts of 120mm diameter and high tenacity polyamide mesh of 100x100.

FENCING OF THE FACILITIES OF THE CANTAIXO SPORTS STADIUM. LISBON (PORTUGAL)

RIVISA ® has carried out the fencing of the Cantaixo Football Stadium with Ultra Fence of 2m00 in height, plastic-coated in Ral Oxiron.

THE PSG SPORTS CITY

RIVISA ® through one of its distributors in France, will manufacture and supply the fencing for the new PSG sports city. The fence chosen by PSG is the Calitax fence, and standard frames of 1m50 and 2m00 have been used, as well as special frames of 2m50 with a defensive profile. RIVISA ® has been in charge of this fencing at the Zona Franca Logistics Park, made with 2m40 high Ultra model fence and plasticised in blue.

INSTALLATION OF AN ULTRA FENCE AT PLAZA LOGISTICS PARK IN ZARAGOZA

RIVISA ® completed the final fencing of one of the plots at Plaza Logistics Park in Zaragoza, using 2,500 linear meters of 2.40-meter-high Ultra-type metal railings made of welded square profile bars and metal posts.SOLAR

SOLAR POWER STATION IN ASHALIM, ISRAEL

A 5-meter-high Fax Fence, with special IPN posts, sliding and pedestrian gates with access control.

AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING COLLEGE IN MEKNES, MOROCCO

A 2.40-meter-high Fax DH, with double wire panels 8/6/8 and Lux 80 Posts around the entire perimeter of the college.

EDF SUBSTATION SECURITY FENCE (BARCELONA)

For the enclosure, a 2.50m high Maxi-Fax fence plus 0.60m with Lux-80 posts was used, fully sensorized with microphonic cable. This electronic detection system for perimeter enclosures is based on a physical property of a cable, specially developed to be sensitive to vibrations, cuts, impacts, etc., which converts all attempts of intrusion in the fence into an electronic signal.

ANTI-VANDALISM ENCLOSURE FOR THE SUMMIT OF HEADS OF STATE

In order to host this summit in Barcelona, Rivisa carried out the perimeter fencing with reinforced Lux E.S.T. fencing, 2m00 in height, made with 80mm diameter Lux posts and installed on New-Jersey.

FENCING AT THE LOGISTICS PARK IN THE FREE TRADE ZONE OF BARCELONA

RIVISA ® was in charge of the fencing at the Logistics Park located in Barcelona’s Free Trade Zone. The fence consisted of a 2m40-high Ultra-special blue laminated fence.

PERIMETER FENCING AT THE COLLSEROLA TOWER IN BARCELONA

We highlight the perimeter fencing that has been carried out at the Collserola Telecommunications Tower. Rivisa has installed the perimeter fencing with Lux fencing and several special sliding doors.

The Collserola tower was built for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and was designed by the English architect Norman Foster.

THE SANT ADRIÀ DEL BESOS INCINERATOR

RIVISA ® has carried out the interior enclosures with Fax Fence of different heights and Protecline RAL 6005 green finishes. The installation is completed with Light swing gates.

FRESNEDILLAS DE LA OLIVA

Fencing of the perimeter of the Apolo Station in Fresnedillas de la Oliva was carried out using 2m00 high Fax railing with 0m30 long bayonets and barbed wire. The Fresnedillas installation for manned space flights (MSFN) was a set of antennas installed about 50 km from Madrid to assist in aerospace communications for the NASA Apollo program.

At RIVISA ® , we are capable of designing, manufacturing, installing, and providing all of our standard products, while also adapting to special projects according to the needs our clients present to us. Based on our clients’ ideas, we conduct a project study, evaluate its feasibility, and our technical department ultimately proposes a viable and costeffective solution to find the ideal enclosure together.

CONFIGURATOR ONLINE

At RIVISA ® we offer you a new free application for the preparation of ONLINE estimates for fences, gates and gates telematically, very accurate and fast. With this exclusive RIVISA ® application, you save unnecessary visits to the site where the fence is to be installed. From a PC

connected to the Internet, you can define the perimeter of an enclosure on a “drawing board” or find the exact location of the installation, thanks to the integration of the application with digital cartography, and obtain the necessary quantities of material and an estimate of the price of the fence.

ANALYSIS OF SPECIAL FENCING

RIVISA analyzes the type of special fencing proposed by the client, taking into account both functional and aesthetic requirements. This phase is considered conceptual and aims to build a solid foundation for the development of the future design.

DESIGN OF THE FENCE

Once the assignment has been analyzed, RIVISA ® begins to develop the design plans for the different elements that make up the special fencing. Likewise, this phase is carried out in full consensus between our technicians and the client, in order to work in the same direction.

FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS

After the definition of the concept and the verification of the design plans, our technical and industrial design department evaluates the technical feasibility of manufacturing. In this way, small modifications are provided, if necessary, to be validated.

MANUFACTURE OF SAMPLES

After the approved technical feasibility, and based on the design plans accepted by the client, RIVISA ® proceeds to manufacture a scaled sample of the fencing (analyzing at all times if this is absolutely necessary), which will help to analyze the important details of the fencing physically.

VALIDATION AND READJUSTMENTS

The samples are verified and validated by the client, and if necessary, the necessary readjustments or adaptations will be made.

PRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT

Once the samples are accepted and the order is verified, the process of manufacturing and subsequent installation of the fencing begins, where RIVISA ® offers the technical assistance that the client needs for the proper installation of the components.
