An Adaptive Double Skin Facade Year Type Location
: 2013 : Public Housing : Cimahi, West Java
Four stories apartment building, Located at Cimahi City, West Java. The occupants have been complaining about uncomfortable temperature in their flats. The researcher try to fix this problem with material study approaching and aplicated lightweight secondary skin. Some laboratory test and environment simulations have been done to endorse the research result.

The comparison of indoor temperature from all orientations shows that northeast and southwest orientation have the highest temperature of them all. 09.00 AM

MAT E RI A L AN A LY S I S The percentage of direct solar gain on northeast and southwest wall.
An experiment was conducted between 6 building models that have different wall material (heavyweight concrete and lightweight concrete) on each orientations. The aim is to show the potential reduction of indoor temperature based on its orientation and material characteristics. Model 4 (lightweight concrete on northeast wall and h eavyweight concrete on southwest wall) comes with the best result, it reduces the air temperature 0.360C - 10C .

As the symbol of the government of Republik Indonesia, the client want to make this building as an excellent example of a green building in Indonesia. Therefore, the preliminary study is needed to find the best model solution. Some research and design approach have been done, from observation, field study, and laboratory simulation, just to find the greenest building model that can achieve.

The design proposal is better than existing building. The quality of air circulation increase by 42.35%. It makes the potential of energy consumption decrease by 40%.

Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) is one of the largest in the world since 1962, the stadium could initially seat up to 100.000 people. The latest renovation was done in 2007 for ASIAN Cup purpose. The next 2018 ASEAN GAMES will be held in Indonesia and GBK will be the main stadium, therefore a building assessment is needed to get Indonesian Certificate of Building Profer Function / Sertifikat Laik Fungsi (SLF).
