R Jay Slais

R Jay Slais was born in Pontiac and grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan. He’s an engineer/inventor for a metro Detroit company and currently writes from Romeo, Michigan where he is a single father raising his two children. In this life, he has edited, sold art, been a victim, misplaced true love, been struck by lightning, holed in one, ran the circumference of the earth, been trapped beneath winter lake ice, and fell in love with poetry and himself on the same day. Published widely in print and online Lit Mags, his thirteen year old cat Mia has rejected his finished chapbook manuscript several times already. She was hairballed by the title Mice Verses Man.
