This magnificent and unique site is located near Plougrescant, in the C么tes d'Armor, France. It defines by all means the spirit of "La Bretagne" as issue 9 of RJmag is our ode to Celtic culture, & Brittany in particular.

Brittany The cold ocean breeze, the sound of the seagulls, the fishing boats and the little town houses... Brittany is the perfect winter escapade!

After a little walk in Ploumanac'h port, we had the most delicious crepes with exquisite Breton Cider! The Pink Granite Lighthouse and spectacular formations of pink granite rocks line the shore, carved by waves, wind, ice and tides...

BrittanyPostcard The "Sentier des Douaniers", the famous trail created at the time of the French Revolution to guard against smuggling, follows nearly the entire Breton coast for 800 miles, from Saint-Malo in the north to Saint-Nazaire in the south. Once patrolled day and night by brigades of customs officers on the lookout for boats carrying contraband from England, it is now a protected natural site and part of the network of official Grande Randonnée hiking trails. If names like Plougrescant, Perros-Guirec and Ploumanac’h don’t sound French, it’s because they’re not. Linguistically and ethnically, Bretons, the Celts of Armorique, have more in common with the Irish and the Welsh than with the French.
