REGISTRATION DEADLINE: DECEMBER 29, 2015
For Hidden Treasures, our 2016 Spring Buying Show, we’re returning to Phoenix, an ideal choice for a January gathering, especially for the Northerners among us.
By the time you get to Phoenix we’ll have one spectacular show ready, featuring hundreds of vendors, a full slate of free Saturday morning seminars, and several opportunities to share each other’s inventory and marketing knowledge. And because it’s Phoenix, the window display contest has risen again.
On Friday, Kate Peterson of Performance Concepts will conduct a half-day master class in store marketing; on Saturday, artist Richard Hight will deliver a keynote address unlike any you’ve heard – or seen; and on Sunday, in keeping with our show theme, the evening event will be a low-key, hunt for Hidden Treasures in a ballroom filled with activities and the music of one Chip Stone and his band.
Come early for Friday afternoon’s Mystery Castle tour or off-roading in the Sonoran Desert, and evening trips to a comedy club or local breweries. Or stay late on Monday for a live murder mystery or a “restaurant crawl” of Phoenix eateries.
Just make sure to register to attend before the December 29th deadline. Why not go to RJOMembers.com now and register for the show and reserve your hotel room in one fell swoop? Then, throughout the busy holiday rush, you can enjoy sweet, sweet dreams of Phoenix in January.

Sunday Evening Gathering – RJO’s Hidden Treasures For two reasons our Sunday Gathering is going to be unlike any we’ve had before. First, we’re shortening the evening by an hour, from ten o’clock to nine, to give everyone a little more time to sleep before their travel day. Second, we’re foregoing the usual sit down dinner for an amazing selection of heavy hors d’oeuvres, which will sate our appetites without slowing down the party. Wait! Did someone say “party”? Make that a party-slash-hunt for Hidden Treasures. It’ll all transpire inside an elaborately decorated ballroom, where there’ll be an assortment of games and clues to help you unravel a quest that leads to an ultimate reward. In the process you’ll search for clues in a slowmotion video booth, test your putting skills, dig through sand for jewels and much more. When your quest has ended, celebrate in the treasure hunt lounge, where you’ll learn if you’ve won a prize and rock out to our own Chip Stone’s High Jacked band with classic rock from yesterday, today and tomorrow!

Join us in the isolated foothills of South Mountain for a tour of Mystery Castle, one of Phoenix’s most interesting and unusual landmarks. Join us for a trip to Stand Up Live, the go-to spot for comedy fans in the valley looking to catch a set from comedy’s up-and-comers and established acts alike. We’ll go early for dinner, drinks and the first show. At press time the club had yet to book the act for our Friday evening, but one thing’s for certain: It’ll be a lot of laughs.
Let’s pretend it’s the early days of Hollywood, and we’ve been invited to the world premiere of the swashbuckling romantic film, Love’s Foolish Parade, starring Louis Loveless and Edward Manly III. Unfortunately, before the movie begins, a crime is committed and we, as guests, must solve the mystery.
12:30 p.m. departure from Hyatt lobby 1 - 3 p.m. $55 per person Maximum Guests: 70
5:30 p.m. departure from Hyatt lobby; 10-minute walk to club 6 - 9:30 p.m. $95.75 per person; includes meal, drinks and show Maximum Guests: 70

Phoenix Brewery Tour This evening event takes in three of Phoenix’s best breweries in a fast-paced three-hour tour. 6 - 9:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m. departure from Hyatt lobby; 5-minute walk to venue $78 per person; includes three-course dinner and show Maximum Guests: 70
Downtown Phoenix Evening Dine-Around Take a sampling tour of the restaurants changing downtown Phoenix’s culinary culture. With our guide, we’ll visit four or five restaurants and try a variety of their food and drinks. Since Arizona has one of the nation’s most talked about food scenes, this should be a fantastic foodie adventure. The price includes all food and alcohol “sampling.” The tour requires a total of approximately two miles of walking, interspersed with rest stops at each restaurant. In most cases, vegetarian diets can be accommodated, but there will be no gluten-free options. The proprietors respectfully request that no child under age 13 attend the tour. 5:30 p.m. departure from Hyatt lobby; 10-minute walk to the first restaurant 6 - 9:30 p.m. $96.75 per person; includes tour, food and alcohol sampling Maximum Guests: 30
