Open for the future.
What are you open for?
Open for outdoor adventure? Launch at the Railyard Bike Park downtown. Shred on Lake Atalanta trails. Challenge your skills on Monument Trails at Hobbs State Park or take a hike through the Ozark woods with cool views of Beaver Lake. Over 200 miles of hard and soft trail fun are open in Northwest Arkansas. Opening soon? Downtown Rogers opens the new Railyard Park this spring, home of the Farmers Market, a splash park, playground, and the Butterfield Stage, future home to live entertainment, festivals, and performances. Open for business are new restaurant stars Walk-On's and Saltgrass Steak House, both neighbors to entertainment giant Topgolf. The Walmart AMP completed their 20|20 expansion last year, entering a new decade with a new vision. Open under a new name is the Rogers Convention Center, formerly the John Q. Hammons Convention Center. Grand opening? The Daisy Airgun Museum now features the World's Largest Daisy BB Gun. Renovations to Railyard Bike Park draw bikers year-round, perfectly complimenting the downtown vibe. The Arkansas Public Theatre opens the curtain on seven main stage productions for local theater lovers. The Rogers Historical Museum is open for tours and has special exhibits and one-of-a-kind treasures of Rogers history in their Haley Building home and 2nd Street campus. Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (TCWR) is a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) licensed, 509 (a) 2, as described in Section 501(c)(3), non-profit certified facility, dedicated to the rescue and care of exotic and native wildlife, focusing on Big Cats and bears. ‘Big Cats’, with emphasis on tigers, lions, leopards and cougars. TCWR is regularly inspected by the USDA and houses an assortment of exotic and native animals, including lions, tigers, leopards, and other big cats as well as black bears, brown bears, and a variety of other animals. Animals are generally rescued from private owners who can no longer care from them, or they are confiscated by law enforcement authorities in cases of abuse and neglect and given a permanent home at TCWR. Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is a legitimate sanctuary and does not buy, sell, trade, breed, or loan-out any animals. All residents are given a high level of care in a safe environment throughout the remainder of their lives. All animals are cared for by a permanent animal care staff of 7 biologists/zoologists, and a bi-annual intern staff of approximately 15-18 college/university graduates. The animals receive extended veterinary care by Dr. Kellyn Sweeley at the Refuge’s onsite Jackson Memorial Veterinary Hospital. Education is at the heart of their mission and they offer educators a unique learning opportunity. With the advent of the pandemic, and the big cats’ susceptibility to the virus, the Refuge adapted and now offers unique virtual learning opportunities for educators as well as for parents looking for ethical activities for their children. You can take your experience to the next level by reserving one of ten unique lodging options. Go to sleep listening to lions’ carol and awaken to the rumble of tigers! From adult-only Safari Lodges to their pet-friendly family Suites and popular Tree House, there is something for everyone. Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge operates primarily on admission, lodging, retail sales and donation revenue, and does not receive federal, state, or city funding.

The DTR Market attracts growers and makers from all over NWA to sell their goods. Within walking (or riding) distance from the market is the Railyard Bike Park, with experiences for all riding levels. Walking and riding trails lead down to Lake Atalanta, a local Rogers favorite spot, that includes a hard-surface trail around the lake, six fishing piers, a natural splash pad for kids, a treehouse, and 2,000-foot boardwalk. Back up the road is the Rogers skateboard and splash park, a great spot to visit in the heat of the summer to cool off. Coming in Spring 2021 will be the completion of the new Railyard Park in downtown Rogers. The multi-use park is the new home of a splash park, playground, and the Butterfield Stage, future home to live entertainment, festivals, and performances. Opening soon will be the newly renovated Centennial Park across the street from the new Railyard Park. This park celebrates our country’s centennial with a beautiful flower garden with park benches, a paved stone walk, and picnic tables. Helmets aren’t just for children. Wearing one can save the life of any cyclist and reduce the risk of head and brain injuries.
LIGHT UP
Wear fluorescent clothing that reflects light and can be seen by other traffic on the road or path, especially for night or early morning cycling. Use blinking lights on the front and back of your bike to ensure visibility.
KNOW YOUR PATHWAYS
Study trail maps to know where you are going before you get started. Learn common pathways including bike lanes and routes, and scout them out before your trip for hazards and bumps in the road. ROGERSLOWEL ELLL.CO .COMM ROGERSLOW

This ensures equitable access and opportunity for all students to participate. In middle school, students take foundational courses to explore various careers and skills. High school courses culminate with industry-recognized certifications that convey advanced knowledge and skills essential for many jobs. Starting in 11th grade, students can enroll in Secondary Career Center classes offered at institutions such as NWACC and Northwest Technical Institute. Rogers Public Schools also partners with local businesses and industries to offer extended learning and certification programs after school and on Saturdays.
