Children’s Miracle Network Raises More Than $5.9 Million for Arkansas Childrens
Saturday, September 9
The 2023 Rogers Cycling Festival (RCF) is a great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery, roads, and trails of Rogers. In partnership with the City of Rogers, the RCF is a family-friendly event coming Saturday, September 9. Cyclists can bike Railyard Loop from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Cycling enthusiasts looking for a more challenging course can participate in the Enduro Race from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Before riding, be sure to check out the many booths set up featuring local businesses and grab complimentary merchandise and accessories.
Why it matters: The Rogers Cycling Festival brings the cycling community together to experience something for everyone. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit cycling nonprofits and causes. A new study has shown that biking events improve the economy of our NWA region. Events like RCF help us give back to the community where people want to live, work, and play. In the past the festival has raised a total of more than $100,000.
Miracle Day was celebrated on May 24 by the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) including Arkansas Children’s here in Arkansas. This day is dedicated to celebrating the children in CMN Hospitals and fundraising money to support:
• critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services
• innovative research
• vital pediatric medical equipment
• child life services and financial assistance for families
Dig deeper: Arkansas Children’s is one of 170 Children’s Miracle Network local hospitals. This healthcare system is the only one in Arkansas that’s dedicated solely to caring for children. Arkansas Children’s Northwest is right here in NWA helping make the region the place where people want to live, work, and play.
What they’re saying: Taylor Speegle, Executive Director of Philanthropy for Arkansas Children’s Foundation: “We are grateful to each of our Children’s Miracle Network Hospital partners for their dedication in helping transform health care for the children of Arkansas and beyond. Thanks to the hard work of hundreds of volunteers across the region, the funds raised will stay local and help make children better today and healthier tomorrow.”
Why it matters: The Rogers Lowell Chamber’s mission states that we are dedicated to building community. It’s important we support organizations like Arkansas Children’s that are helping build the future community: our children. By ensuring those children have the proper health resources they need we can foster better communities for the future.
