Regional art competition featuring work by Miami-Dade County public high school students. Winners received scholarships through the women’s club scholarship program.

2017 Photography Published, Teen Ink : Black History Issue, Atlanta, GA

For over 33 years, Teen Ink has offered teens the opportunity to publish their creative work and opinions on issues that affect their lives. Teen Ink offers some of the most thoughtful and creative work generated by teens today.

Rustic Pathways’ four-week travel program; “Peace,Wonder and Understanding Islam” was created to educate and build awareness in the next generation of change makers.

2022 Program Assistant, Arts for Learning, Miami, FL (Artworks Creative Writing Cohort)

Mentored 5 students throughout a creative writing intensive for 6 weeks.Facilitated the creation of their writing portfolios for the final showcase. Developed their creative and professional skills under the master teaching artist.

2021 Lead Facilitator, Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI (Portraiture Workshop in Grand Gallery of RISD Museum)

As part of my class in the Pedagogies of Art, I led a team in teaching my own portraiture workshop to high school students in the Grand Gallery of the RISD Museum, a space where seldom any of them found true representation. I created a stage where they could make it on their own.

2020 Teaching Assistant, Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI

Produced 5 video interviews with local artists and activists to ground our course on Art & Social Justice. Compiled 8 video critiques from our panels with distinguished art professionals for our students. Captured 3 aerial films to introduce the class to the public art landscape of downtown Providence.

2023 Curatorial Intern, The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York, NY

Conducting research and writing for objects in the permanent collection, as well as for exhibition thematics. Maintaining digital archives & completing administrative tasks for exhibition-related projects.

2019-22 Founder & Curator, The Black Biennial, Providence, RI

Co-Curated a community exhibition highlighting 83 artists geared towards showcasing underrepresented talent. Fundraised over 20k to support the project and secured 10 sponsorships from offices throughout campus.

2019-22 Photographer & Archivist, Haus of Glitter, Providence, RI

Photographed over 35 looks from Noelle Puello’s collection made during their residency. Shot 7 large-format film portraits for visiting artists of the Glitter Goddess collective. Documented 6 community events.

Worked with an incredible team to uplift and give reverence to, the black experience at RISD. Helping to plan and execute yearly exhibitions and events to connect our community to the resources they need and advocating for increased transparency, diversity and action from our administration.

2020 Founding Member, Anti-Racism Coalition, RISD, Providence, RI

Part of a group of students who made a twenty six page list of demands, spoke in a forum on RISD & Race & curated a website, which secured the largest donation in the school’s history towards the hiring of 10 BIPOC professors.

2019-20 Work-in-Process Facilitator, RISD Museum Guild, Providence, RI

Members develop projects that activate the galleries and connect students and faculty to the Museum. Lead a team in the remodeling of the Work-in-Process project, curated The Guild’s social media.

2019 Social Justice Intern, New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, NY

Created 4 reports on how to better implement family programming during the 2019 exhibition season. Photographed 5 exercises in the curriculum of the Mirror/Echo/Tilt exhibit, with Shaun Leonardo as lead. Implemented 6 activities with our Teen Apprentices into my schedule, documenting each one.

2019 Invitee, Andrew W. Mellon Curatorial Summer Academy, Chicago, IL

This program invites 15 students from historically underrepresented backgrounds to receive intensive curatorial training during the summer from world-class, encyclopedic museums in the hopes to make a critical impact on American art museums by developing gifted curators who are committed to engaging with the full spectrum of museum audiences.

Wrote multiple research reports analyzing peer networks social media. Created a guide for conference management with three case studies, focusing on the Vision + Justice convening in Harvard University.

2018 Program Assistant, Wall(in) Program, Arts for Learning, Miami, FL

Mentored 20 students to propose art installations around the segregation wall in their community. Facilitated 6 interviews between our students and community residents, organizers, activists and artists. Directed 3 community forums and aided the development of their projects, while documenting progress.

2017 Participant, Young Artists Initiate, Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, FL Part of Miami’s most selective youth arts development program. YAI connected young artists like myself to the museum’s collection and local arts community through an immersive two-year program that explores a different theme or practice each year.

2016 Intern, Artworks Summer, Arts for Learning, Miami, FL

Managed 3 on-location photoshoots during the 6-week internship, two of which resulted in national awards. Spearheaded 4 photo tours in a weekly personal exploration into the effects of gentrification in the area.
