WAIHI EAST SCHOOL SCHOOL NEWSLETTER 15/2015

27th May 2015

Kia ora, Can you believe we are nearly half way through the term. The weather is very changeable and Doctor Tineke is certainly busy with the increase of ills and chills. Remember Tineke is available each Tuesday morning. To ensure an appointment, please phone the office to secure a time spot. A massive thank you to the E for Energy elective group who organized our sausage sizzle last week. This was a huge effort and I appreciated your help and flexibility to our class programme. Amazing dollars were made with the combination of a mufti day. All funds from this day will support Matariki celebrations. Cross country last week was so well organized. As always our Phil and Robbie put on an awesome day for the school, this is being replicated for the cluster today. My thanks to Phil and Robbie for your modified plan. Being able to cheer our seniors into the finish line was very cool. We need a few more helpers to support Brekky Club. If you have a spare half hour from 8.30-9am, please let Robin or I know. Our tamariki appreciate a good kai before class begins. Please enjoy your extra long Queens Birthday this weekend. Teacher only day for our teacher aides and teachers will be at school on Tuesday with Mike Scaddan, the ‘brain man’. Mike will be presenting to our whanau 3.30pm-5.30pm. Come and add a new tool to your already amazing parenting toolbox. There is no cost involved. A grocery hamper is up for grabs for those whanau who pre-enroll. Mike would love your participation. Nga mihi nui Emily (ehargreaves@east.school.nz)
